Linfield University School of Nursing - 2025 Cohort
I completed all pre-reqs at MHCC, and my GPA was 3.74 I believe. I got in, but turned it down once I received my financial aid package, as it is a veeeery expensive school. Right off the bat, you have to pay $400 basically to just secure your seat if you get in. I really don't know how hard it is to get into, I can imagine that a lot of people decline if they do get in especially if they have offers from elsewhere simply because of the cost..

Hi! Yes same person ? I'm not sure... I'm leaning MHCC just because of the SIGNIFICANT price difference. All in all between the ADN at MH and then the extra year at OHSU (to complete the BSN) is only roughly $31,000 - in comparison to $107k Did you also apply for Linfield? A school with rolling applications and one I know a few graduates from is Warner Pacific! The application is free too ?

Personally I wouldn't do LPN - only because my goal is more hospital care rather than VA/Care home. To me doing LPN would be school debt that just wouldn't be worth it. If you wanted to get more experience to make your application stronger, I myself would go the fastest route and do more CNA certification. That way you have way more options - care home, hospital, etc. As a CNA you can work so many different places. You making the alternate list makes you just that more competitive for next year. Did you apply multiple places or just MHCC? I made the mistake last year just applying to MHCC. I was completely crushed when I didn't get in. Hang in there, seriously. I know the feeling of not getting your desired outcome - BUT you made it as an alternate! That is more than I could say for myself last year. You got this ? I think it is different every year!

Ahhh I got accepted as well! I'm in the Fall Cohort. I applied last year and didn't get accepted, not even on the alternate list.. HANG IN THERE! They usually go pretty far down on the alternate list. I didn't get in the first year I applied, but I finished out my associates and got in this year! I'm rooting for you guys that got on the alternate list!
