Mt. Hood Community College (MHCC) Fall 2024/Winter 2025

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

I thought about waiting until I have all of my prerequisites completed to apply for the following year's cohort, but I've been trying to go to nursing school since 2019 and got totally derailed by COVID. I'm getting a little antsy, so I decided to apply this year. I have the minimum required for applying. I figure worst case scenario, I don't get in this year and have a break to save money and apply again next year. Best case scenario, I get in. Seems win/win to me! Who else has applied, or is planning on applying?

I WROTE SO SMALL TOO LOL. I ended up completely changing what I wanted to originally write about last minute which definitely screwed me over I think. I should've trusted my gut. I just keep reminding myself I did my best and if that wasn't enough I will try again next year. My former NQS just visited our clinic and I was talking to her about where I'm at in the process and she said that she has MHCC students at her vent unit RN and I was like...... Can you be nosey for me please and find out all you can haha.

Well I'm hoping the best for you! Honestly, same. I keep thinking I tried my best and if I don't get it this time, it's not meant to be.  It's soooo tempting right? I think we still have a couple weeks tho. LOL.

The waiting is the hardest part, like submitting the application in December and soon it will be June! At least we don't have to do a third round with interviews.

Has anyone heard anything yet?

Haven't heard anything.

Nothing yet! I believe applicants found out on May 27th last year, so fingers crossed we find out sometime this week because the 27th is memorial day. I have a feeling it won't be until the end of next week 😕

Emails have been sent!

Anyone get accepted? Alternate? I wanna know!

I'm an alternate... number 12. No idea if that's good or bad.  I tried to see how many they take off the waitlist each year but couldn't find anything of use.

*Fingers crossed

I'm number 10 and my friend is 11! We have a good shot. I have MHCC students at my work and they had a student in their cohort that was #26. So fingers crossed!
