Mt. Hood Community College (MHCC) Fall 2024/Winter 2025

I thought about waiting until I have all of my prerequisites completed to apply for the following year's cohort, but I've been trying to go to nursing school since 2019 and got totally derailed by COVID. I'm getting a little antsy, so I decided to apply this year. I have the minimum required for applying. I figure worst case scenario, I don't get in this year and have a break to save money and apply again next year. Best case scenario, I get in. Seems win/win to me! Who else has applied, or is planning on applying? 

Congrats! I thought we didn't find out what term we are starting at until the zoom orientation in two weeks

I was alternate #3 and also got in. Winter term.

I was alternate #17! Crazy how far down the list they'll go. Winter term as well. Now to figure out what I'll be doing for work. Currently I work as a medical assistant and won't be able to stay on for part time. What is everyone else doing?

Congratulations on getting in. I'm a Respiratory Therapist and planning on working part-time through nursing school. I also start Winter term.

Congratulations on getting in! I currently work in veterinary medicine.  I plan on staying with my clinic doing mostly online work from home.. planning on doing like 10 hours a week or so.

Hey anyone want to be brave and set up a fb for our nursing cohort? I actually don't mind creating it if others think it would be a good idea just for communication and what not.

Hey Dvlw, 

I was just thinking about creating a FaceBook group for our Winter cohort. Let's start connecting and we can update each other when notices come through, I am still waiting on the drug testing/ castle branch stuff. Do you happen to know when they plan on sending it out to our group? I emailed them and was told they would send it closer to our start date but was given no specific time range.  I can't wait to start the program and look forward to meeting our class.

Hey that's crazy I just looked this up today! Okay I'm going to set up a fall group then. If anyone from fall wants to be apart of it. I think it's good for communication. 
yea I'm not sure for Winter. I am fall and we have all of that info sent to us already, I don't think you're missing anything!
