MSJ, MSN program-Ohio Mount St. Joseph

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hello, looking for updated information if anyone has attended the Mounts MSN direct entry program. All of the other threads are a little older. I have applied for the May 18 cohort, looking for advice on classes, houses, materials, etc.

Thanks

I'll definitely keep that in mind! Where are you taking the class?

A nearby community college in Detroit

Nice! I may have to take mine online just to accommodate my work schedule

Just got invited to interview! Since I am out of state, it will be over the phone. How was the interview for you?

Congrats!! You're on your way!! What state are you in??

It wasn't bad at all.. most of it will be review from your essay (I interviewed two years ago, so I am not sure if it has changed)..

The interviewer definitely asked me why I chose the program /nursing.. be ready to answer.. I also remember being asked about some of my strengths and weaknesses..

Good Luck!!

Thanks! I'm from California, which state are you from?

Alright sounds pretty similar to job interview questions, but I will definitely prepare to answer! How long after the interview did it take for them to send a decision? This literally made my Monday :D

I'm in Michigan..

sorry, again, it was so long ago ... I can't remember . They will tell you when to expect to hear from them :)

No worries! It sounds like they're really good about communication.

Had my interview on Friday :) should be receiving a decision letter in the next couple of weeks!

Congrats Girl!! Good luck to you!!

Got my acceptance! Just need to take pathophysiology in the spring. I'm a bit conflicted, however, because I started a new job recently and am considering deferring until Fall, if possible. Did you have to pay another deposit to do so?

Congrats!!! I didn't pay my first deposit, but I did call and let them know my situation. They will most likely place you on a waitlist, or you can call and just discuss it with the director of the program. The letter says you have four weeks to make the payment, but I asked for an extended deadline. However, if you truly think you are leaning towards deferring I would say something soon, so they don't take it as you're just no longer interested, and not waiting for the deposit....

I hope I can find more people that are coming this cohort
