Moving to Australia / Canada.. Requirements for work permit / immigration

Published

Hi friends,

I am a 3 yrs diploma nurse (RN) from Pak. I'v been planning to move to Australia / Canada.

Can anybody pls guide me if on the basis of my current qualification, would I be eligible for license examination. I have heard that soon BScN will be mandatory. is it already implemented in all states in australia and in canada ?

Right now I am working as a Quality Assurance Nurse in my country. What is its scope in Australia / Canada ?

If its not that good what are the other options (non-bedside) having better prospects and easy to immigrate.

Pls suggest how should I move on..

Thanks.

I think finding non bedside positions will be hard so may have to think about that. Which ever country you decide you will have to meet their nursing requirements and if necessary pass a exam. Canada you have to pass the CRNE which is only available 3 times a year in Canada. Australia/Canada have states/provinces and each one will have their own requirement on what is required so you need to decide where to live and check out their website.

Also have a search as much has already been written on requirements for each country

Canada and Australia have different requirements entirely, and it is going to be hard to get a non-bedside nursing position in either when you are starting off as things are going to be done quite differently there than what you are used to.

There are also no fast ways to get to either country, both require passing of their exam as well as getting thru immigration procedures.

Best of luck to you.
