Hello All,

I have curently been taking all my pre requesites and supporting courses at Brookhaven College. Initially that is where I wanted to go at first, but after hearing that the program is so competitive I decided to just do a little more research about my options. So, recently I have heard that Mountain View college has a fairly new nursing program. Has anyone here been accepted to the program? If so, how is school? Is it hard to get in? I'm currently trying to start Fall 2014, but unfortunately application deadline is April 14th. I'm a little nervous to apply becasue I will not have Micro nor Pharmacology done until May. Is it worth applying to the program? most of my grades are "A's", but I have not taken HESI yet. What should I do?

yes. Just as long as you attend one before you apply. They usually have one the second Tuesday of every month. The next one is May 6th at 5pm-6pm

I have a question, I didn't attend the information session, but everything is ready, can I attend the one in May but still apply for the fall?

wait..... if you are planning to apply by April 14 I do not think you can apply if you do not attend the session. It is mandatory. I guess I would still try to apply if I were you. Since everything is ready. Otherwise you will have to wait til next year :/

Did anyone get accepted to Mountainview for Fall 14?

I couldn't find a thread on MVC for 2016 admission. But i have a few questions.

1. I was browsing the Texas accredited website and it says that MVC doesn't give you the RN testing to be licensed like Elcentro or Brookhaven. Is this true?

2.What is the min for the points system that they are excepting, website says 19, but sometimes its up in the 20s.

3. Does Hesi have to be taken at MVC only? I took mine at TVCC cause it was the only place that was avail.

4. Why does it seem like everyone is going to Elcentro, is there a big difference in the colleges? other than the location. It seems like no one i know is going or even talking about MVC, does this mean it could be easier for me to apply and get in? High hopes.

Thank y'all for some help and tips.I have been taking a bunch of random classes that elcentro and brookaven req, but gosh, THEIR ALL DIFF!!!! Its driving me crazy, and now i need to shoot for only 1 college, instead of applying to 3.

Hello! I too am interested in applying for Mountain View College Nursing Program. May I ask whether or not you were accepted into the program? If so how many total points did you have counting all pre-reqs?
