MOUNTAIN VIEW COLLEGE NURSING Spring 2022

Published

Hello everyone! I am new to all nurses in hopes to reach people who are applying at Mountain View College for Spring 2022, or other dcccd nursing programs (brookhaven, el centro, and north lake). I see that previous students have created a thread, and it seems to have been very helpful for them. Please reply if you are going to apply to one of these, we can help each other out in the process!

Okay, thank you! I emailed them today so hopefully I hear something back soon. Also, are we only allowed to retake it once a month

Hello everyone so I took my HESI I scored an 83.6. that puts my overall score to 22 points. What about you guys? (if you don’t mind sharing). I didn’t do great on my HESI but I have a 4.0 in prereqs.. and I have a&p2 and micro for support courses. I hope it’s enough for an interview ?

The last date to take the HESI is the 30th of what month? August?

I believe online the last day was July 30 but.. you can still sign up for an in-person exam on august 4 at el centro just email the 5tests email for instructions.

Hello all,

I didn't get to apply to the Fall program at Mountain view due to my hepatitis B titer. I'm in the process of getting a positive titer now. I will be applying to the Spring 2022 program in result.

I wanted to know how long does it take to receive a positive titer for Hep B if anyone knows?

Thanks! Excited for you all!

Hey I got my hep b vaccine and one week later went to get my blood drawn and I got the results the next day. I recommend you go to quest diagnostics they always have me quick results. Good luck!

Thanks! I'll jump on it this week.

Hello All, I am new to the group. I wanted to know does a 3.8 GPA, HESI cumulative 95.6% and 21 points so far is good enough to apply to the Mountain View College nursing program?

That sound qualified to me! Those are really great scores and GPA.

Lishia2021 thank you so much. I wish that MVC had an information session via online or in-person where we can ask questions and get clarification on the process. I know that some schools have info sessions which is great.

Has anyone applied with about 14 points which were just for the prerequisites only (no supporting reqs), 3.0 GPA, and 90 percentile HESI scores.s for each section? I am trying to see how competitive the ranking points are at MVC.
