Anyone else applying for MSMC for Fall 2010. I just submitted my application a few minutes ago. I am applying as a prenursing student to finish up the sciences I need and then hope to lvn-rn

ooh i just made a thread about this 'cause i didnt find anything when i used search. now i cant delete or i dont know how arghs lol. anyway i applied as well! hoping to start the direct nursing program. but i would need to take public speaking this summer so i hope i get into a class at my local community college. or hopefully msmc will just accept my human communications class. if not, i'll have to do the pre-nursing route too.

has anyone heard anything yet? my boyfriend applied for the fall 2010 cohort also and all it says on his webadvisor is "complete--in review process." i wonder if they're gonna let you guys know around may...cuz i applied to MSMC also but for their ABSN program and i heard from them 2 months after i applied.

for those who applied directly into the program, what kind of grades did you all get in your science prerequisites?

I applied in February for the fall session and mine still says "Complete-in the review process".

did anyone get invited to take the TEAS test??

I don't think they are at that stage yet. Though since I won't be taking the Teas until I finish my sciences at the mount I don't know for sure.

Ok I just got invited to take the TEAS. I'm confused I though because I was applying as a prenursing student I wouldn't have to take it straight away

ohh....you're taking your pre-reqs there?

my bf who applied is trying to get into the direct entry nursing program. he got invited to take the TEAS test today & have to have his results in by april 21.

hmmm...that is weird. maybe theyre making pre-nursing students take it also??

Yeah maybe its because I'm also an LVN? IDK? Any other prenursing students have been invited?

Well In shot them off an email because I wasn't expecting to take the TEAS at this time and in fact if I'm not wrong doesn't it cover material I may not have learnt yet bc I haven't completed all my prequsites?

i think that's the way it goes...personally, ive never taken the TEAS test so im not too sure what it covers. you should probably call admissions and see what's up especially if you haven't taken any science pre-reqs yet.

Yeah I'm going to prepare and take it anyways. I'm sure I will do fine simply because I HAVE to. It was the same way with the NCLEX. You ace because you HAVE to
