thanks again!!! Good luck!!!!!

ok everyone, i called mount saint mary yesterday to find out about the interview. i asked her that a lot of people that is qualified have applied and have not received anything from them. she told we are going to be receiving the decision in june. she also told me that not everyone gets an interview but does not mean you are not accepted. i asked her again, so they do not interview everyone? she said not. some people just get accepted right into the program without interview.

i hope this calm some people down, including myself.

Thank you nani!

I think I know now....

They had lots of qualified candidates, and sending interview mails to candidates

who they are interested in. It makes me so depress....

I think I have to make my own plan to find other ways.

Good luck to everyone!!

I really want people who got the interview mails get into the program!!

Have a great thursday!

is everyone done w/ their prereqs? i still need to take microbio and re-take chem since it's more than 5 years old now. if there are any LA-area applicants, where did you guys take your prereqs? smc's science courses can be so hard sometimes!

Hey everyone, happy Monday!

So...does this mean they're done sending out interview emails?

And out of curiosity, for those of you who did get an interview: Have you finished most of your prereqs? I still have 5 classes in progress, and 2 to take over the summer. I'm thinkin this probably put me at a disadvantage? I'm just hoping they give me a chance at an interview before they shoot me down! :plsebeg:

Hey, you guys!!

Did anyone hear anything about an interview so far?

HAHA! I guess the interview is over, huh?

Let me know if you hear something!!

Have a good day!!!

hey!

good news!

I just called and was told that they are extending the interviews into mid-June. I guess it's taking longer than they anticipated. She said that decisions will probably go out by the end of June.

That is great news!!! Thanks for posting that bit of information!! :nuke:

So, did anyone get an interview mail??

Hi All, I am new to the site. I have a couple of questions regarding AccBSN program at MSMC.

Does anyone know how MSMC deals with U-unauthorized Withdrawal on transcript? Its an upper division class that i took a while back after i had already received both degrees. Its a business class that has nothing to do with the health field.

Also, does anyone have any info on how flexible MSMC is on prerequisite courses? One of my degree is Social Work. Many of my classes in social work are very similar to MSMC prereq requirement for Human Nutrition and Lifespan/Developmental Psychology.

Also my overall GPA for both degree combined is 3.0. If i happen to fall below 3.0 slightly, will MSMC take this into consideration?

Hi Techie. When I attended the info session, they seemed very strict on the type of classes they would accept and not accept. Even if you do clear it verbally or via email with them, I would still be careful. In fact, they list a course (I think Physics) on their articulation agreement as acceptable when in fact it isn't b/c it does not come with a lab.

As for your GPA question, when my friend applied to the program, she was told to retake a few classes to bring up her GPA. From what she understood, they were pretty firm on the 3.0 minimum GPA for this program. Otherwise, they encourage you to apply for the traditional bachelors or associates program.
