Mount Sinai PSON ABSN Fall 2021

Starting the thread since I could only find Summer 2021z Has anyone applied to and/or gotten an admission decision from Mount Sinai PSON for their ABSN program starting Fall 2021? Where else did you apply? Share stats if comfortable, you know the drill! Thanks!

Congratulations to those who have just been accepted! It's great to hear that there is some movement going on right now. 

I'd appreciate if those who have been accepted could share if:

1) you were accepted with 1-2 prerequisites still in process/not complete,

and/or

2) you were accepted without any medical experience.

Thank you! My undergrad GPA is 3.69. Pre-req GPA is 3.77. Majored in toxicology. I have 2 pre-reqs currently in progress, which will be done by the end of this month. I submitted my app at the beginning of March. I have healthcare experience, approx. 2 years.

No problem! I submitted my application on April 1st. My cumulative GPA is 3.25, while my science GPA is 3.56. I have two prerequisites still in progress (Chemistry and Nutrition). In addition, I have healthcare experience from volunteering in the hospital and working in health-related jobs.

By what date do we have to complete patho or pharmacology? anyone know?

Hey, Mr. Le said the last day to submit any pre req/ pharm or Patho is July 2nd. I suggest taking one of them now!

On my onboarding papers, it says the deadline to send in transcripts from patho/pharm is July 9th for the fall cohort - FYI!

OMG THANK YOU! Maybe the pre reqs are July 2nd... This is good. I don’t think I’m able to do both before July 9th but I’ll try to do Patho from portage learning.

No problem! I also don't think there is enough time to do both. I'm taking pharm through Portage right now. It's great, but it's a lot. So I don't want to try and jam both pharm/patho in by July 9th -- so much material to learn & don't want to rush either course

If I’m done with my prerequisite courses through portage, do I send the transcript to Nursing CAS or to PSON directly? I tried to see if I can send it to PSON but the address portage has for them seems outdated & Nursing CAS doesn’t have portage as an institution to choose from

I believe you send the transcript directly to PSON, what address does portage have for them? Their new address is 148 East 126th street
