Mount Saint Mary's University ABSN Fall 2017 Application

Hey everyone! I recently applied for MSMU's ABSN program for the Fall 2017 cohort...I am wondering if anyone else has applied and where are you in the process? I haven't heard anything back but don't know anyone else who has applied so just wondering how you are all doing.

I got my bachelors at cal poly Pomona. How about you? My undergrad gpa isn't the best either so I think my chances of getting in aren't great if the school is strict about that. My prereqs gpa is about a 3.7. But if we don't get in at least we still have all the fall schools! I have volunteering experience that I did with COPE Health for about a year and another volunteer year at a private clinic.

Awesome! I got my Bachelors at USC (Business degree). I can't speak for the other schools, but I think at MSMU they're really big on looking at the candidate as a whole! So hopefully they see that we kicked ass in our pre-reqs haha! What's your top choice if you had to pick one?

Oh cool! I work at usc now in a research lab! I hope you're right in that they look at us as a whole! Well if I absolutely had my choice I would go with ucla or csula, neither of which I applied to yet lol I don't even know if I'll apply to ucla because I think my chances of getting in are so low lol. Out of the 3 schools I applied to, I would choose APU since it's an entry level masters program. How about you, what's your top choice?

Totally fair! My first choice is MSMU, just because I love how small the program is and I'll be done in a year and can start working! UCLA was a top choice of mine as well, but I wasnt done with my pre-reqs in time to apply :-(. So I'll have to apply next year if I don't get into the other schools! I was looking at APU too, but it's a little far away from me (I live near Santa Monica). Do you live closer to APU?

i feel like we both have a shot at the math exam at the least! Will you let me know if you hear anything? I hate this process haha.

I live in San Gabriel valley so not super close to APU but the drive is doable. The drive to MSMU is shorter but a lot more traffic.

Of course, I'll post on here if I hear anything! I'm hoping this week we hear something back! I'm sure the waiting game is killing us!

Ah I see! I live in West LA, so obviously downtown LA for MSMU is a lot more convenient for me! I'll let you know if I hear anything as well...I hope it's this week! They said end of the month, but who knows if that actually happens :-p
