Hey everyone! I recently applied for MSMU's ABSN program for the Fall 2017 cohort...I am wondering if anyone else has applied and where are you in the process? I haven't heard anything back but don't know anyone else who has applied so just wondering how you are all doing.

Hi!

I was hoping someone would start a thread. I submitted my application on February 20th and my status on the applicant portal still says "Completed."

I reached out to the office to see about when we would start hearing about the math exam and they said end of the month!

Im getting anxious!

I wish I had apply for this program but the application deadline for Fall was too early. What class did you guys take to satisfy the religious studies and phil requirements?

I took one religion class at USC as part of a GE, but I'm taking another one this summer at SMC called "History of Religion," which transfers. For Philiosophy, I took one at USC as part of a GE, as well!

What other programs are you applying to?

Oh hey everyone! Didn't realize someone commented! So glad I'm not the only one who hasn't heard anything! I was beginning to think the worst lol. I saw previous years had a 'portal' to check the status of their application but I emailed nursing admissions and they said there's no portal this year. If we want to know the status we would have to call. So far nothing for me.

I only applied to msmu, APU, and Samuel merrit in the Bay Area. I plan to apply for more in the fall that I couldn't apply to in 2016 because I had too many prerequisites left. Really hoping we hear back soon!!!

Hey @rma02 !

I'm bummed there's no portal this year, I would have loved to check my application status haha. Nothing for me, either. I was told we'd hear about the Math exam by the end of this month, which is next week.....Let me know when you hear something and I'll do the same!

I only applied to MSMU and USF Orange County, since I still have pre-reqs, as well! If I don't get into either of those two schools, I'll re-apply for more schools this Fall!

Where did you do your Bachelors? What kind of healthcare experience do you have? I'm an EMT, used to work for an ambulance company and now work at a hospital in the ER. I also work as a microbiology tutor part-time, while also taking my own pre-reqs. I have a 4.0 in my pre-reqs, but my undergrad GPA wasn't as great, so I'm worried about that :-/

So glad people are starting to comment so we can all go through this crazy process together haha! Have a nice weekend!
