Hey! I am currently in the MSMU ABSN... I think if you got an interview you have a high chance. Especially if you are towards the beginning of the interview process... I would say that the most important thing to stress is that you are prepared for a vigorous program and that you handle stress very well... Good Luck!!
Hi Yayfornursing!
Thank you for responding to our post. If you don't mind I had a few questions. How did you prepare for the program? Anything you wish you would have done?
Also, I know clearly this is a tough program and days can't be missed, how does the program approach people missing days? I am a bridesmaids in a wedding out of state in July and I wondered if I could even make this work. Nurse school will of course be my number 1 priority.
My pleasure! Its good you are asking because I would say that it would not be ideal for you to miss any days. They are really strict about missing clinicals, and because the schedule sometimes comes out last minute, its hard to buy tickets in advance. People will come to clinicals sick because they don't want to miss because it is extremely hard to make up the clinical hours. I'm sure the thought of missing the opportunity to be a bridesmaid is super upsetting but it would be really stressful having to miss. In fact, one girl had to miss one day for a family members wedding and it was a huge deal and stressful for her... sorry for the bad news! They are not very accommodating ;/

I recently applied to MSMU abs program for Summer 2017. I haven't seen a thread for this application process. Looking for anyone else going through this process!
