Hi Everyone,
So I emailed Agasia just to get some answers and she said that admission decision letters will be mailed out the first week of February and not the end of February. Just wanted to share this with you guys since I know the wait and not knowing is driving us all crazy.

Hello All,

I am glad someone created this forum. I interviewed the first day of interviews too. The interview was fairly easy and comforting. The 3 interviewers were very nice. However, I did not know that Anth 121 (Anthropology of religion, magic and witchcraft) is not accepted as a prereq for the program. I was bummed because I was currently taking it for the winter. Now I think it's too late to find and finish an acceptable religion Course before the start of the program:( good luck to everyone!

Hi nurselilyc,

How did you find out about Anth 121? Did they tell you during the interview? Do you have any other prerequisites in progress? I think you can take History7 as a religion prerequisite, but you are right, it's a bit late since all winter classes already started. Did they give you any advise on how to remedy that?

Hello,

when I interviewed they asked me if I was taking the religion Course since it's the only prereq that I'm missing. I told them I was taking Ant 121 and they advised that they no longer accept that course and advised me to check if I can take another one and the director told me to let her know if I will be able to finish it before the Summer term. I will be taking History 7 for the spring. Most likely I will reapply for fall term.

Hi all, I also took Ant121 and they told me they cannot accept it. So now I'm taking Philosophy - Critical thinking online. You can take a higher course for Phil as your second religion course FYI. Try to find a class in different colleges since you can take the class 100% online, some classes are short and might end before May... Good luck everyone!

Those who need to replace Anthro 121 and take another Philosophy class should check out LA Harbor College's Philosophy 6 or Philosophy 20. They have classes that will run from Feb. 6 to April 8 which will be just in time for MSMU's pre-req class requirement deadline.
