Just reaching out to other fellow nursing students who applied for this coming Fall 2011 ABSN program at Mount Saint Mary's (Los Angeles)...I completed my application a few weeks ago.

Well I'm excited to see my application status say "complete, in review" ! Now we just wait...

yes i feel the same anxiousness, too. crossing my fingers we all get invited for an interview soon. did you end up applying to other nursing schools?

Thank you! and yes...haha..that would truly would take the fun away! I finished most of my pre-reqs at College of the Canyons in Santa Clarita, but I also went to CSUN for my undergraduate...so a few I knocked out then. I am glad that we have eachother through this very fun time of waiting! Where did you complete your undergraduate? Do you know what they base admissions off of...meaning is admission heavily weighted on gpa? I do have some pre-reqs that I am completing this semester...so I hope that will not negatively impact my application.

i graduated from fullerton and completed my science pre-reqs at coast community college. unsure how mt st mary's will base their decisions. good luck completing your pre-reqs...hang in there. as long as you complete them before term starts than you should be ok. did you end up applying to other programs?

i think the website mentioned after 2 weeks after the deadline...the school would notify us via Web Advisor. from there, i believe they'll extend interview dates...

Thank you! These are the last of my pre-reqs (I hope) for all the schools I am hoping to apply to. I applied for the UCLA MCEN program for Fall 2011 on a whim, but did not get in. I was not surprised because the competition is fierce! 700 applicants for 50 spots! I plan on also applying for a couple of the accelerated programs in arizona and as a back up plan, the ADN programs here in so cal. I was not able to apply to the accelerated program at CSUN because my pre-reqs. were not completed by the application deadline (a requirement).

No, I only applied to MSMC. I was looking into the EL-MSN programs but felt it wasn't the right path for me just yet. I'm really hoping I didn't make a huge mistake not applying to more schools. How about you? What others schools did you apply to?
