Hey nurses!!! How do you guys motivate yourselves to study harder?! I haven't heard from the bon yet so i cant proceed to ATT so it's still not sinking in that im taking the nclex..i don't want to cram this time!

hi rezmie you are like me . i am also waiting for my ATT to come .do u know how they will send they will send via email or they will post the ATT. I need motivation too . i just can't concentration ..

I'm sorry but I'm not sure too..i think the board will notify you if you're eligible to test then you can proceed to ATT register in pearson vue. The ATT is via email

The best motivation I got was reading this site and scheduling my exam date. Our teacher said Nursing is a subculture and no one will understand you better than other nurses. I read successful stories and not so. I even googled motivation for NCLEX. I found a lot of support here. Glad this web site exists.

You should receive it by email and then you go to the pearsonvue website to schedule your exam.

I think you can take the jurisprudence anytime before or after nclex..

Set your goal. "Will be An RN on my 1st try"

how long do u plan to review? 1month? 2 months? Or more?

don't cram.....answer 100 questions a day (with post test review) will help you familiarize how the computer gives questions!

Motivation is highly individual but for me, I considered all that I had put into being a nurse. Semesters of pre-reqs and nursing school. Tuition, cost of books, cost of other supplies, the cost of the test. Early mornings, late nights. Time away from my family. The contingent offer for my dream job. That was more than enough for me to sit down and stick with my plan!

If there's one thing nursing school taught me, it's that reviewing something once is okay, reviewing it twice is great, reviewing it three times...never happened in nursing school because I never had time...but would probably have been fantastic ;).

I did not expect to get my letter as soon as I did. When I got it I scheduled my NCLEX ASAP. I subsequently had to break down my study schedule all the way up to the day before to get everything in. If I could have reviewed everything, at least skimming it over, twice I think my stress level would have been alleviated at least a bit going in for my NCLEX. Pleeeaaaase take my advice on this and use every minute. If you get through it and have more time, just look it over again. You'll feel better about your test. ESPECIALLY pharm.

Also, this forum gives you the unique opportunity to read the perspective of people that didn't pass. It's very humbling and puts things in perspective. What I kept reading was "I'm going to go and study more". That definitely motivated me when I felt like I couldn't read another single word ;).

yes I will take your advice on going it through it twice..I'm trying really hard to read and understand a topic so I won't go through it since there is a lot to cover but sometimes no matter what you do you gotta do it again.
