Hi all:) I'm a nursing IV student starting a rotation in LTC this week. I want to make up some cards for the most common meds given so I won't have to make so many when I get my patient assignments. I know there will be lots of cardiac, diuretics, etc..

Just looking for the top 10-12 that you most commonly see in a LTC facility. Thanks!!

This thread cracked me right up:chuckle . Welcome to our world.

Did anybody mention ASA? That's common with 9am med rounds?

We use mostly Tylenol at our facility.

ASA is used as a blood thinner

I've been meaning to answer but I cleaned out my puter yesterday and I must have cleaned it a little too well because even though it ran better it ended up having amnesia about a lot of things and I had to re-register all over again, scramble my user name a little, come up with a different email address and was finally welcomed as 1st time poster. Oh well... Anyways, I was thinking of aspirin and its analgesic property when I replied.
