Nursing Students do undergo many financial issues. It's a given. But, trying to finance the use of a pen might be an extreme. We've discussed different ways to finance a Nursing program. Some include loans, scholarships, and grants. Do you find yourself over your head with financial obligations? If so, what are you plans to help resolve this?

I have to say I think I'm very fortunate. I have a lot of people, like my boyfriend and my parents, who want to see me succeed.
Just recently, after my parents realized how bad my living situation has been since starting school (roommates on drugs, strangers and strange family members in the apartment at all hours, poor maintenance, roommates eating my food, the list goes on...) and have offered to pay my rent and utilities in a new apartment sans roommates. My boyfriend has offered to pay the rest. It takes a huge load off my shoulders, and allows me to save as much as I can this summer before I start my nursing courses in August.
Previous to this I was paying my own way, on the Ramen diet, saving as much as possible. Even with my expenses now covered, I won't be going on a spending binge or anything. I will most likely start paying off the principle of my modest school loan instead.

I've got two jobs and I freelance. And I have a husband who pays most of the bills.
I also set up on the corner twice a month. (LOL! Just seeing if you were paying attention.)

Sadly higher education is not cheap. Even if you attend a "cheaper" school - there is the everyday living expenses as well, not mention school supplies. Many end up with HUGE student loan debt, that then impacts their future.
