My 11 month old son has breath that smells like the lighter fluid from a bic lighter, not the zippo kind. doesnt happen at any specific time just kind of constant. What could be causing it and should i be worried? I know diabetics breath can smell "fruity" from ketoacidosis, and like mothballs from kidney filure, but i've never heard of lighter fluid... any help is appreciated.

Do you have any Bic lighters around the house?

this is a question for your pediatrician.
if i smelled that, i'd be on the phone stat, rather than asking a bunch of nurses.
