Hey guys! I couldn't find a thread for the Fall '18 semester so I figured I start one so that we can all share and support each other while we anxiously wait for our acceptance letters. I'm just curious what every one else applied with and if you guys applied to any other programs. What where your numbers?
I got a adjusted score of 74% on my TEAS and a 90.7% on my reading, I have a 3.5 gpa, and all of my pre and co requisites completed. I got into the nursing program last year with the listed above requirement and had to declined due to a high risk pregnancy. I am still nervous for this upcoming fall semester. Has any one else experienced this and still got accepted? Also has anyone attended in information session on what exactly to expect time wise in the programs, such as how many days a week will be need on campus?
Hi tmillian. I also work in the medical field and I've heard how instense the program can be. I'm sure with a strong support system you'll do fine! I also have 3 girls 12,7 and 18 months and my family and friends have been very supportive in how far I've gotten so far. I thought about also trying to work part time during the program if I'm accepted and the way it's described by some nursing students I've talked to in the past, it's possbile to work while taking the courses but it'll be very challenging. To the point where some stopped working because the program got that much more instense and having the time to commit for studying wasn't there because of work. So it's definitley nervewrecking thinking about it. Just have a positive mindset and go with the flow and just see what will for work for you.
Has anyone received anything at all yet? I'm SO nervous. It's already Friday and if responses for acceptance comes before Memorial day then the only thing I can assume is that I didn't get in! Btw, what's everyones plan B in the case that they don't get in? I still have no idea if I'm going to try reapplying for Spring, or if I'll pursue a different field.
Just got back from Ocean City and low and behold I have a certified letter slip in my mailbox! I live in a Takoma Park apartment. Got to go pick it up on Tuesday so I'm definitely not celebrating yet lol. I need to see the letter in person in order to believe it's the acceptance letter. Figured I'd give everyone a heads up. Good luck to everyone who applied honestly!
