Montgomery College, how long?

I sent in my application for the fall at Montgomery College today. The deadline is March 1st. Does anyone know about how long I can expect to wait before I get an answer?

By what method will you return the acceptance confirmation? Anyone sending it by fax?

Marissa, you are lucky to have such a short commute. Any luck finding an apartment in MC?

As for books. I have the ones I planned to get saved in my amazon wishlist. But I'm concerned that once they give the booklist at orientation there may be changes so I hesitate to buy anything yet. I will buy wherever I find them cheapest. I use half.com, ebay, amazon, online textbook stores, etc.

As for submitting our acceptance...I haven't really thought about it. I guess I'd prefer to fax it if able. Maybe both, fax and snail mail???

Sounds like a good idea.

BTW- I found the recommended list of books. I also cked out textbooks.com, have 8 books new and used in cart for around $314.

Kristian, where did you find the list of books?

We should all meet in a specific location prior to the orientation and get to know each other. I am not familiar with the TP/SS campus at all so if you all are interested, please suggest a location.

Go to mymc then click on live class schd., select term, select NU for courses. In the course sections you'll see an icon for textbook to the right. scroll down the pg, NU 110 has a long list.

There are identical book requirements (Fund. of Nursing) for both 105 and 110, but one is corrected? Diff. ISBN.

And yes, I'm up for meeting. Meet for coffee, tea, lunch? Then get familiar w/ the campus?

I was just wondering if the book list online was going to be different than what they give us in orientation. I don't want to start buying books only to find out they are the wrong ones. That happened to me once for a sociology class I took.

As for meeting up. Sure, we can maybe meet at the campus cafeteria??? I am sure there is a coffee spot there somewhere.

I think I'll wait until after orientation to order books. It wouldn't surprise me if there is a change.

Oh I was just thinking of meeting up a couple hours before orientation started. We can all eat lunch together/get coffee or something.
