Here is our new thread ladies (Nikki, Andrea, Kristian, Marissa...and whoever else will be starting at MC this fall).

Anyone going to get an iPad?....laptop?

Lol Kristian! But yours can probably be used for more than nursing, right? Didn't you get the nice one from ebay? I would LOVE to wear a nice watch on a daily basis...I've already hinted at that as a Christmas gift from my hubby ;) The Timex is cute, but I would only wear it for nursing and maybe for working out.

I wonder if Fentons got their shipment in yet? Didn't they say they'd call everyone when it did come in? I'll probably go back for my 2nd urine test on Thursday (after de-toxing from this past weekend lol) and maybe I'll drop by and try on some stuff at that time.

I read Chapter 24. I did the Key Terms on my note cards and typed up the answers to the Objectives. I'm hoping to do Ch.34 tonight and tomorrow the same way. Ch. 36 will prob wait til next week at which time I'll prob start the ATI module (which I haven't bought yet either).

Tina, no iPad for me. I'll be using my Chrome notebook, though. Are you planning to by an iPad?

Andrea, yeah I got a stainless steel watch. Love it for the most part and yes, planned to use it as an everyday watch anyway.

Yeah, they will be calling and we'll need to try them on. Did they say how long @ registration? I started ch.24 too...haven't started the cards cuz I can't remember what I did w/ them from last sem.! Darn, should have bought some yesterday!

A voice recorder is def. a good idea.

When do you think we'll get details about our site: PDA, cell phone on floor, storage, etc?

I would think we'll get all that info. on the first day of clinical, which I think will be in the lab until we start on-site. I need to get my student ID and parking permit, AND pay for the semester. I think the first drop for non-payment date for the fall semester is August 11, so make sure you guys pay then! If you've applied for financial aid and haven't received it yet, I think you can sign something at the Financial Aid office asking them to hold your classes until you've received it.

That makes sense. It would have been nice to get the details beforehand. I ordered the parking permit earlier today. Yes, you're correct about non-payment drop date. I still need to pay for the semester and get my ID...will do that this wk. I'll be going to UMD for (MMR and Hep B) and Labcorp on Thu.

What time are you going to LabCorp on Thursday? I'm going to make an appt. for Thursday also. I don't get my MMR and Hep B until Monday.

My appt w/ Labcorp is @ 12:30 in case I get delayed. (UMD is 10:10).

I have to see about leaving Dominic with my neighbor and her granddaughter while I go to LabCorp but hopefully I can get close to the same time as you so we can keep each other company while waiting AND in case there are any problems we'll have each other to back up lol.

Andrea - so we should have any problems getting the drug AND alcohol tests when we go? They are both done by urine analysis? I'm going tomorrow and I don't want any surprises.

I'm going to Fentons after my drug test tomorrow to find out how things fit and what size I need.

I'm going back to the doc for my 2nd HepB shot on Wed. I also need to see about getting another antibiotic for this freaking cough. I know we are supposed to get some form or something stating we got the shot. Are we supposed to send that to Prof. M???

Thanks for the info on the watch. I will have to mess with it later tonight, maybe, once the kids are in bed.

I don't know if I will bring my laptop or not. Maybe just on Monday since I will have an hour to kill but I'm not sure if I will use it for class.
