Here is our new thread ladies (Nikki, Andrea, Kristian, Marissa...and whoever else will be starting at MC this fall).

Finally, the watch fiasco is over lol!

It would suck if you were charged twice for that. That's a miscommunication between our school and Labcorp. I'd ask for reimbursement if that happens. As for two sep. tests, yeah there's a possibility for mix-ups and the question of whether or not our facilities will accept that. I think this is another matter to notify D. Matthews.

Lol YAY! I got them to cancel the order!

I just got off the phone with someone from MC about the alcohol testing. She said they've been sending students to LabCorp for drug AND alcohol testing for years and that whoever told me that LabCorp doesn't do alcohol testing must have been new. After a little back and forth between her and LabCorp I finally was told to come back in for a second urine test (not too happy about that!) and that I would NOT be charged again. I was given the phone # of MC's Pre-Check representative who also got involved by calling LabCorp. The lady from MC was incredibly nice and said I could call her or the representative if I ran into any problems when I went back for the 2nd urine test. The sample I gave on Friday will still be run for a drug screen as it has already been sent out. The 2nd urine test will be run for an alcohol screen but I was reassured I would not be charged twice. What a hassle this has been! Hopefully you guys won't run into any problems like this. I joked with the MC lady that I was now a little worried that I had made the LabCorp person so mad that she may now tamper with my results. But the MC lady told me there was no way she could do that since she's not the one who's going to be running the test. I should have known, but still....so much seems to have gone wrong that now I'm just (you guessed it) PARANOID!!! Lol

Kristian, which BP unit did you get from Redding? I know it's ADC but what was the #?

Wow, what a mess...I hope it's all straightened out now. Totally get the paranoia, been paranoid about so many diff. things lately! BTW, did you mention that there's garage parking or is there parking on their facility?

Ok I don't understand!!! I just tried ordering my instruments from Redding and it says (AGAIN!) that an error occurred and sent me back to the home page. I double checked my billing/shipping info and everything is correct; I didn't even get a chance to put in my payment info..so WHAT IS THE PROBLEM?!?! Why is everything causing me problems lately?! Not a good sign...

Yeah, that was the BP cuff I was going to order too. I'm ordering the instruments separately though cuz I want Listermate scissors and Kelly forceps (heard those are the best) and I want them to be purple lol.

LOL, must be color-coordinated, right? I got the white holder so it'll blend in w/ our top and the reg. metal instruments...well, that's what the pic showed.

I was having trouble on both medisave and redding's site on Sun, was about to leave both sites and try another time, then it finally worked! Try again in an hr or so?

I just ordered over the phone for Redding. The lady was very nice. (Thank goodness I'm dealing with mostly nice people over these issues I'm having or I think I'd totally lose it!). I got the white instrument holder too. I also got a white hip clip stethoscope holder for $5 so I won't have to carry it around my neck and possibly damage the tubing. And I got a 4-color chart pen (not sure if I'll need it but it seemed like a good thing to have), the penlight with batteries, and the same BP cuff as you. Paid $70 total including shipping and taxes. She said I should have it by Wednesday :)

I was thinking about getting the clip. I've read the tubing dries out and cracks from dirt and perspiration if worn around the neck and although the clip is convenient, the steth gets banged around on objects when hanging from it. I guess we'll figure out what works best...

LOL you must have checked the option to receive e-mail updates for that forum and not for this one. I always get e-mailed whenever there's a new posting for this forum. I kind of want to uncheck that option though because I usually check this before my e-mail lol

Yeah, we'll have to see about the hip clip. Luckily it was only $5 lol. I had to ask the lady to give me an e-mail invoice so I could have it for reference. But she said Silver Spring usually only takes 1 business day.
