Here is our new thread ladies (Nikki, Andrea, Kristian, Marissa...and whoever else will be starting at MC this fall).

Nikki, sounds like this new woman might be the answer to your prayers! I think being around other kids (whose mommies also will not be with them during the day) will be easier for your son than having some strange lady in his house with him while you're not there. At least he'll have other kids to interact with and help distract him from missing you so much. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you that this is "the one"!! :)

OK, redding is WAY cheaper than allheart...AND they offer free engraving for 2 initials! Is that where you got your instruments from Kristian? I think I read a post of yours saying you were gonna get them from Redding...

Professor Matthews e-mailed me back this morning saying she was not informed of this (no alcohol screen at LabCorp). She said she would check on it, so hopefully she'll get back to me with a definite answer by the end of the working day.

I got one of my watches over the weekend...the Timex one I ordered from Amazon. It's sooo cute! It took me forever to figure out how to work it and set it up but I finally got it lol. Still wondering why I haven't gotten my other watch...it's been about 10 days since I ordered it...I left a message on the company voice mail on Friday but I'm going to call again today.

Nikki, it doesn't hurt to explore all childcare options. Seems like it could be beneficial for both your family and her. Interaction w/ other kids will help his developmental skills ans if she can improve his speech that's an added bonus.

We've played the credit card transfer game a few times. It worked well for us and after we paid those off, we were cc debt free for about 6 yrs. Then around 2 of yrs ago, we had to use our cc's again and the balances started adding up. So when we got transfer offers, we decided to transfer two balances to one card. Again, it was working out well until "life happened" and we had trouble keeping up w/ it. This time we lost the game. My suggestion would be take advantage of MC's payment plan and avoid further balances.

Andrea, yes I got the instrument holder and instruments (as a kit), and the ADC BP unit from Redding. It was $59.80 including shipping and tax. I got the Classic II SE from Medisave too.

Andrea, thanks for the update...I wonder how many ppl went to Labcorp and was told the same thing. I hope your other watch gets here soon. What was the shipping method and did they give you a tracking #?

Oh, I forgot to mention that I did opt for engraving of initials for the instruments.

Reminders guys:

Order your parking permits (if you haven't already). They can be ordered starting today.

The shipping method was UPS Ground, but I did not receive a tracking #. I didn't even receive an e-mail yet saying that my order has been shipped! Getting real upset. At this point, I think I may just cancel the order because I really like the watch I received from Amazon.

What a hassle! UPS ground generally takes 5-7 business days for delivery. At this point, I'd cancel it too.

Forgot to share what color tubing I got...ceil blue. And I decided on full name engraving. How about you?

Sorry for the multiple posts (again).

Ok, I just called to cancel the watch. I'm kind of glad because the watch was $30 and I had to pay $10 extra for shipping and it's been 12 days...still not here! They hadn't even charged me for it yet so the lady was very nice when I asked her to just cancel the order. She said she would send me an e-mail confirmation that it has been cancelled. The Timex watch on the other hand was $12 with free shipping and got here in less than a week....much better deal.

Professor Matthews hasn't gotten back to me yet; maybe I'm being impatient. But I went to the Quest Diagnostics website just for kicks and it shows that they do, in fact, perform drug and alcohol screenings. I wonder if I would have to get a drug AND alcohol screen from them or if I could just use the drug screen from LabCorp and get an alcohol screen from Quest. Do you think I would get charged for a 2nd drug test if I decided to get both done at Quest and just "throw out" the LabCorp one? I HATE that the results would be coming from 2 different places. Seems like a lot of possibilities for things to get messed up...

I got purple tubing and I got my full name engraved on the stethoscope chestpiece. For the instruments, I'm planning to also get purple and do the 2 initial engraving as well from Redding.
