Montgomery College, Fall 2011, 1st semester students

Here is our new thread ladies (Nikki, Andrea, Kristian, Marissa...and whoever else will be starting at MC this fall).

They told us that our shoes had to be all white. If there is a logo, like the S from Sketchers or the Nike swoosh, it had to be white. My S is white with a light gray outline I believe so I'm just gonna roll with it and hope the gray isn't noticed.

That's awesome Nikki! I'm gonna try to answer some tomorrow if I have time (tonight I'm hitting the sack early since I have to be out of here by 7:15 tomorrow morning!).

Yeah, I think I"m going w/ a titer. A 2nd vac will be $50 and the titer is much less, can't remember how much though. Sears should be your best bet. I haven't found any other retail stores that carry Propet, if I do, I'll let you know. I got a card to send in my info for their warranty.

Nikki, the gray outline shouldn't be an issue. I have a little bit of gray on mine near the heel and by the lace. Most of it should be covered by the pants.

Good luck w/ registration tomorrow, Andrea!

Nikki, I was going over some of the NCLEX style questions too, a lot of it is using common sense.

I haven't seem her since the other night and didn't have your email on hand to give to her daughter this morning (was out walking Izzi). I hope you two get a chance to talk, and even better, meet in person. I think you'll like her.

Which Labcorp are you guys going to?

Gotta run out...good luck @ registration, Andrea!

There are two in Germantown right down the street from me that I can choose from. One is off of Germantown Rd. The other is behind the Target here on like Boland Farm Rd or something.

They said we can go to any Labcorp, but from what I read on their site, not all locations do drug/alc. testing and we should contact them for specific hours.

They should have started the registration process by now, I hope Andrea gets her top picks.

Andrea, the Propets are available @ JCPenny.com...on sale, BTW...maybe they have them at the store as well?

I'm so unmotivated to read...I should get started, these weeks are going to fly by. Have you looked over the dosage calculations? This is what I"m most concerned about. My Chem professor was adamant about using dimensional analysis for solving problems , so I'm hoping that'll be very useful for calculating dosage.

Ok Kristian, what you just said about chemistry went right over my head. LOL.

Bad news, the grandma lady who was to come interview tomorrow cancelled on me. She found full time employment yesterday. Ugh.

I meant to read more last night but DH went to bed before me (which is where I usually read) so I didn't want to go up and have the light on. I was up until like 2:30am again. I'm just not sleeping lately or not tired at night.

Despite the rought start, Lucas managed to pass his swimming class. I was shocked. I really thought he'd be taking it over.

Dimensional analysis is also called Factor-Label Method or the Unit Factor Method. It's a problem-solving method that uses conversion factors to move from one unit of measurement to a different unit of measurement. For Chem, an example would be converting grams of a substance to moles of a substance. Does this help?

For me, using DA really made setting up problems so much easier.

I hope you can straighten out your sleep schedule before the end of the month. Sorry to hear about the grandma. That sucks! But don't stress, there's still time.

Hey, that's great Lucas passed! What's next? Any other classes for him?
