Do you think we need to be making study/flash cards already? Kristian, didn't they say study guides and everything would be posted within a week after school started on blackboard?

I started making flash cards already. So far only done about 10 of the Key Terms from Ch.24. I'll probably answer the Objectives too, but not sure if I'll do that on index cards or not. I think it's TERRIFIC that they're gonna be posting study guides! That will make studying so much easier (I hope) than trying to guess at what they want us to know.

Ok, is it just me or is there no option on the engraving drop-down for full name laser engraving on the chestpiece? I only see jeweler engraved 2-3 initials on the chestpiece, laser engraving on the tubing, and 2 initials hand-engraved. What a bummer! Kristian, didn't you see something somewhere saying up to 14 characters? I don't see that for the nursing kit I want:

Since I'm getting purple, I don't want to laser engrave the tubing because it'll probably be too dark to read. I guess I should go for the 2-3 initials on the chestpiece?

Andrea, thanks for the info. UMD kept insisting on the titer-they are saying since we got the MMR, we will be postive for ALL three now. We'll see...

Nikki, glad you're feeling better. I was nodding off trying to read and decided to take nap. I'm hoping that doesn't keep me up till 2-3am. Starting on the study/flashcards wouldn't hurt. I think they said we'd have our syllabus at the start of class and all other materials can be accessed via mymc/blackboard.

Yeah, I thought I read on their site somewhere about up to 14 characters, I might be confusing w/ with allheart. The cost of 19.99 in for full name (or at least 4 characters). Which kit?

Yeah, you're probably right. I'll call them tomorrow. So are you gonna go for the titer? I'd better double check with my insurance that they'll cover a second MMR. They covered the first one but I just want to be sure. So are you two all registered for classes then? I still have to get shoes! But I want to get those in person so I can try them on. I'll have to shop around...I think I read somewhere that they sell the Propets at Sears. Do you know of anywhere else they might have them Kristian? The Nurse Mates didn't get as good reviews as I was hoping. Mostly that they felt great at first but quickly wore out. Not something I wanna spend almost $70 on. I've heard of some kind of Nike Shocks or something being really good too, but those are like $100! (Sigh!) Can't wait til all this shopping and researching crap on-line is over!

Woohoo!!! I just don't want to do extra work at this point if I don't need to.

While I was upstairs reading today I took the NCLEX type questions in the back of the chapter. I think there were 10 and I got 2 wrong...without reading the chapter. Not too bad.

Kristian - your neighbor called while I was putting my son down. I just listened to her message. It is probably too late to call now that it is after 9 and we have yet to sit down and eat dinner. I will contact her tomorrow.

It's Kit #2200-5. Redding says they do it on their engraving page but it's not offered in the drop-down menu so I'm gonna do what you said and call them tomorrow about it.
