Here is our new thread ladies (Nikki, Andrea, Kristian, Marissa...and whoever else will be starting at MC this fall).

Oh yeah, and the stress of finding someone to care for my kids.

I've been debating between the lightweight and the classic and started to write DH my explanation between the two (pros/cons, etc) and ended up making my decision before I even sent it. In fact, I deleted it altogether. Anyhow, I am going to go with the lightweight. If the vendor said it does the trick then I don't see any reason to spend the added money. Also, the lightweight would mean less bulk on my body. Lastly, if these things are commonly stolen or lost, I'd rather not invest right now. Even with engraving I see these things "walking away"...unless you were to get the engraving AND some off color like orange or baby pink. When are you ordering Krisitian? I know Andrea wants to order like now.

Sounds like you need some away time w/out any responsibilities. Yeah, thinking about the costs can put anyone is a foul mood, but as we know, this is an investment in our future. I think most of us are feeling the pain. I haven't started on the chapters yet...sounds awfully boring.

Yeah, I always ask DH for time away but we have different ideas of how long that should be. Not just without the kids but I'd love to just escape and not have to think about anything. All summer we've been stressing and preparing for the end of August and school hasn't even started but the homework has already begun.

I'm thinking about ordering within 10 days. It would suck to have them go out of stock. They prob. have hundreds of students each semester, all over the country ordering these kits.

I was surprised at how well founded their academic support system is. I had no idea anything like that was in place. It would be nice if they offered job placement upon graduation.

I read here on AN about mentor/mentee prgrams . I think I saw a few posts earlier in the yr...some ppl mentioned that about our program. I'd forgotten that I read about until yesterday. I'm def. applying for it. Did you already drop it off?

My boss has a good friend who runs a nurse recruiting co. He's offered to help so if we part ways on a good note, then maybe we can all use that to our advantage.

So Professor Matthews got back to me and said that we could do either one but to be able to do clinicals they need either proof of 2 immunzations OR a positive titer. I'm just going to go for the 2nd immunization (even though it hurt like a B!) because if I do the titer again and it's still negative, I'll have to get the 2nd vaccination anyway and I'd rather not pay for both.

Sorry you're having one of those days Nikki. It happens to us all! Those are the days I set out a bunch of easy-to-access snacks and juice boxes, video games, art supplies and toys I normally keep stashed for my son to keep himself busy while I wallow in self-pity lol. It happens about once a month, if ya know what I mean ;) Don't stress too much about the homework. Spaced out over the next 4 weeks, it shouldn't be too much to handle and the content will definitely get more interesting as we go along (hopefully!).

I am exhausted from the pool, so I'm gonna hit the shower, feed the family some dinner (hubby's on the grill now), and hopefully get Dominic into bed early tonight. I'll be back on later and let you know if I ordered the kit or not.

I gave myself a mommy time out while my Liam (my youngest) napped. I went upstairs to my room and planned on playing games on my phone but it was dead, so I read a few more pages (not as dull but still common sense), and then just rested on my bed until he woke up. Lucas was playing by himself and watching basketball on tv. I feel better now. I even allowed the neighbors kids to come over.

Got an email stating that my backpack will ship on Friday. I've ordered so much crap online lately I can't keep track of what I am still expecting.

My Timex watch from Amazon shipped yesterday so I should get it tomorrow or Friday. Still haven't gotten anything from the website I ordered the frosted jelly watch from, except for a payment confirmation. I think I'm gonna have to call them tomorrow if I still haven't heard/gotten anything.
