Montgomery College, Fall 2011, 1st semester students

Published

Here is our new thread ladies (Nikki, Andrea, Kristian, Marissa...and whoever else will be starting at MC this fall).

Andrea should be getting out of registration soon (if she hasn't already).

I have to take our dog for another "butt squeeze" so I'll ck in later.

Hey ladies! I got #30 :( And my friend Susie (you met her at orientation) got #31. My first choice clinical @ Suburban got closed up before #18 picked; then my second choice at Montgomery General with Sprague closed up by #22. I was SOOO nervous!!! But both Susie and I ended up getting clinical at Montgomery General on Wednesday from 7-5:10. Here's the rest of my schedule:

Monday

NU 105 2-250

NU 110 4-7:50

Tuesday

NU 121 2-4:50 (Padgett)

Wednesday (Clinical)

MGH 7-5:10 with Ostchega

Maaan! MyMC must be overcrowded with people registering right now cuz it's not working right. I've tried to register 4 times and it won't go through. I guess I should just try again later...

Ok, I was finally able to register!

I have Blount for NU 105; Alston, Ostchega, and TBA for NU 110; and Fuss and Padgett for NU 121.

Hi Everyone - Haven't checked in here in a while. Been busy with work and squeezing in as much last minute vacation time as possible before the fall semester begins.

I finally got to register today - I got number 50 (and didn't get to draw) since I was a few minutes late getting in. It took me an hour an 15 minutes to drive the 12 miles from my house to MC today! Found out there were 2 fatal accidents on the 2 different roads I tried to take. =(

How did everyone do?

I didn't get the clinical site I wanted but that was expected. Other than that, I can work around everything else.

Got to meet a few different people today, which is always nice. Hope you guys are happy with your classes.

Rosh

Wow, how many people do you think were at your registration? Did you learn anything new/different from what we shared with you regarding uniform, equipment, etc?

We won't have any classes together and probably won't even be on campus at the same time either.

What is your schedule Rosh? We've been sharing to see if we got in with anyone we know.

I finally was able to register on myMC…

My schedule is as follows:

Mon: NU 105 2- 2:50pm with Blount

NU 110 7 - 7:50pm with Alston and Ostchega

Wed: NU 121 8 - 10am with Mbulu (according to what they wrote on my registration sheet but it says Fuss in myMC)

Fri: 7- 5:10pm clinical at WHC with Mbulu

I am just glad to finally be registered so i can work out my work schedule.

Rosh, you and I have NU 105 and NU 110 together! I think Kristian (Lil Dragon on here) also has those classes with us. Was WHC on the original clinicals list for the semester? Or did they open it up because there was no room left?

Nikki, no new info really. Definitely gonna go for the kit on Redding; Fenton's prices for things other than the uniforms really weren't that cheap.

Even though we won't be on campus together Nikki, I'll probably see you around Montgomery General cuz you'll be there on Wednesdays when I'm there! :)

I wonder how soon Fenton's will get their shipments in so we can go in and try things on. I'm only going to get 1 uniform since I only have clinical once a week. I may get 2 lab jackets though so I can keep one in the car, just in case. I'll also get 2 pins, just in case. I was thinking about getting that zippered badge holder so I can put money and my ID in it also. I still think we should get the 4-pack of badge clips from Amazon like you suggested Nikki. You're right, for the same price we can get 4 instead of 1!

I think WHC was on the original list but I am not sure since I don't have the sheet in front of me. By the time I got in, Doctors and Washington Hospital Center were the only 2 spaces available.

Yay for having classes together! I think the last 15 or so people from today will also have NU 110 and 105 at those times since it was the only thing left. :)

So, until clinicals start we'll have lab on Wednesdays from 7:30-4:50? That's what it looks like it says on the NU110 First Week of Classes sheet.
