Montgomery College, Fall 2011, 1st semester students

Here is our new thread ladies (Nikki, Andrea, Kristian, Marissa...and whoever else will be starting at MC this fall).

I don't think I'd wear all white if it weren't for the program requirements. I've seen them cheaper at sears.com, but not in my size. It has been difficult finding them in wide. I seriously hate shoe shopping since being preggers.

Just saw all your recent postings ladies! I'm babysitting a friend's daughter while she has a job interview. I'm on my phone now but I'll message my contact info as soon as I'm home later. I'm in for the coffee shop Marissa suggested!

It's tough finding shoes that fit well. Get them and try it out at home. After orientation, you'll know if it'll pass and still have time to return.

Hey Andrea! Have a good time sitting!

Nikki, have you looked @ the Propet brand? They're made for walking and standing for long pds.

And they have a decent selection available in wide.

Nikki: We have all of those amenities in our current apartment, that's why we don't want to settle for something less. We actually need hardwood floors because of the animals. It's very difficult to keep carpeting clean with 3 pets. We've tried it before. Their nails do scratch up the wood floors, but we just accept the fact that we may not always get our deposits back. One of the sacrifices of owning animals.

I think the shoes will be fine, btw.

I'll respond back with my info via email.

I think I'm going to go with these shoes: http://shop.advanceweb.com/shoes/214-dansko-professional-womens-medical-clogs.aspx. They've received really great reviews on how comfortable they are to stand in all day and how good they are for your posture, etc. And, they look good.

Good choice Marissa. I've read good reviews about the Dansko clogs. They'll last a long time. I prefer lace-up or straps. I am wondering though if a sneaker style will be ok as long as they're white.

It turns out the brand of shoes that I mentioned is not a brand at all. It's an online store.

Here the link if you want to ck it out:

I saw the Dansko Professional clogs there, Marissa.

Lots of selections but most are very pricey.

Hello ladies! I sent everyone (Nikki, Marissa, and Kristian) a PM with my contact info. Let me know if you got them! Thanks :)

Btw, The Walking Company is GREAT albeit pricey but I'm betting it'll be worth it to get shoes you won't have to keep replacing.

I'm still pretty sure I wanna get shoes from Nurse Mates, but I found out there's a store that sells them in White Marsh Mall near Baltimore so I'm gonna go try them on before I decide. I really want slip-ons but I have to have a back and I want them to look sporty so I'm hoping MC won't have a problem with them! Not sure if I want the first or second pair, so I'm gonna try on both (but I think I'm leaning towards the first pair! ;)

Andrea, thanks got it. (I replied back to your pm.)

I like the first pair. Either one is a good choice!
