Here is our new thread ladies (Nikki, Andrea, Kristian, Marissa...and whoever else will be starting at MC this fall).
Unless the power is out, I doubt it.
Glad you are feeling better Andrea. Back to the books :)
I'm glad I've got you guys to talk to. Your progress gives me more motivation. Hoping to finish up 8 and 9 tonight. Since I've got family coming I should try get it done sooner rather than later in the week.
I'm going to post something on the yahoo group asking everyone to introduce themselves and provide their schedule/clinical.
How horrible would that be to have our first day of class cancelled due to the weather?! I'm keeping my fingers crossed that does not happen; otherwise, we'll probably have to learn the material on our own or have it tackled onto other lecture days...neither of which is ideal.
Just put Dominic to bed and straightened up the house a little. I REALLY want to watch this Blue Planet series that's on right now BUT I'm going to force myself to turn off the TV and hit the books! Thank goodness for DVR...lol :)
I'd kind of welcome a power outage at school on Monday. Since it is Lucas' first day at school and Liam's first full day at day care I wouldn't mind moving slower on Monday.
I was doing the practice questions but it gets to be too much so I just do the first 5 or so and take the chapter review test.
I didn't finish 8 last night. I decided to study in bed before sleeping and ran out of scrap paper to finish the chapter review so I just stopped and went to bed. Hopefully I can finish while Liam naps and get through some, if not all of, of chpt. 9. I will be so glad when the math is over.
I contacted a nursing student who is starting her 2nd semester and asked about calculators during the procalc exam. I'll let you know what she says.
I took Liam to day care this morning and left him there. I was told he cried for about 2 minutes and then was fine. I am trying to get my husband to take Lucas to school on Monday.
Hey girls, finished w/ ch. 13. That was a nice break from all the math. Some of the labels are hard to read...practically need a magnifying glass to see the tiny print. Hopefully I'll be finished w/ a few more chapt. if not all by tonight!
How is everyone else coming along? Nikki, I hope that student has some good news about calculators.
That's good to hear Liam was fine @ daycare...2 mins of crying isn't bad at all.
Was actually in the middle of doing Ch.5 when it hit! First I heard the loud rumbling, thought it was a garbage truck or something. Then I noticed the refrigerator was shaking! A magnet even fell off! That was enough to get me off my chair! The dog was whining and crawling under the kitchen table, so I ran and grabbed Dominic off the couch who kept asking "What's going on? What's happening?" I ran upstairs to wake up my husband who was so out of it, he didn't even care there was an earthquake and went right back to sleep. By then, it was over but my neighbors started coming over and people started calling so I haven't gotten back to work yet. About to do some more before dinner (the earthquake was enough to convince me to get carry-out! lol). My goal is to be done with Ch. 7 before I go to bed...
That's great to hear that the first day of daycare wasn't too bad Nikki! I think almost every kid does the 2-minute cry thing...I know Dominic did. Soon, he won't even care to say good-bye to you when you drop him off and then you'll wish he missed you again! Lol
Kristian, I am super impressed! You are almost done! I wish I was where you are right now I hope to get everything done by Thursday night or Friday afternoon so I don't have to spend my LAST weekend of freedom doing homework

Hey Andrea, glad you're feeling better!
I'm finishing up w/ ch. 9...woo hoo! Nikki, thanks for letting me know about the module. I'm relieved I don't have to spend the time on that chapt.
FYI...I was just informed we are expecting a hurricane in our area by Sunday. I wonder if that will affect anything come Monday...
