Here is our new thread ladies (Nikki, Andrea, Kristian, Marissa...and whoever else will be starting at MC this fall).
I haven't touched the calculations book since we last spoke. I wrote out notes for chapter 34 and did the tutorial/test. I'm trying to print out the dang certificate but it won't print it. I get a blank page were the certificate should be visible. I saved it in word after a screen print, copy, and paste but should be able to go back to access it again. Dirk isn't here otherwise he could probably help me.
Andrea - the certificate is located under the results tab. Click on tutorials. You will see a little icon to click to retrieve your certificate.
Thanks Nikki! I'll try it later tonight.
I woke up with a terrible stomach ache. Haven't been able to keep anything down all day, except for a fruit popsicle about 10 minutes ago. Luckily, my hubby took Dominic to his grandma's house to hang out for awhile this afternoon so I was able to rest. I feel a little better now, but still kinda weak from not eating. Hopefully it was just something I ate or a 24 hour bug that will be gone by tomorrow. I hope to do at least 2-3 more chapters in the Calculating book tonight...
Wow, that sucks Andrea. I hope it is just a quick bug and you are feeling back to normal soon. It is always so tough when the mom is sick.
Kristian - you can retake it until you score 100% I think. I took the pretest, got 4 wrong. Took the post test and got 2 wrong. Then retook it to score 100%.
It is late but I'm going to try to tackle another calculating chapter. I tried to look up online if we can use calculators for the procalc test and I couldn't really find anything. Most things said they had to score 80 something percent to pass. One said a calculator was provided but it might be different from school to school and program to program.
Hi Ladies!
I just saw this post the other day and I thought I would say hello - my name is Jenna and I am starting MC nursing this fall. Where are your clinical sites? I am at Suburban on 6400- switched from SGAH.
Just wondering.... has Fenton called anyone about the uniforms yet?
I can't wait to meet everyone - enjoy the last week of summer!
Jenna
Thanks for the ATI info Nikki. I read in the syllabus that calculators will be provided for tests, but don't know if that also applies to procalc.
Andrea, are you feeling better?
Hi Jenna, welcome!
Nikki and I have MG on T/W 3-8:10. Andrea has Suburban...I think an all day (unsure of which day of the wk). I haven't heard anything yet from Fenton. We were told a while back that it would be towards the end of Aug.
We (Nikki, Andrea and I) are excited, anxious and terrified to begin this fall. Looking forward to meeting you. Enjoy the last wk as well!
Welcome Jenna! Glad to have another classmate join us here. What is your class schedule?
We have started a yahoo group for 1st semester students at MC nursing. Please feel free to join. It hasn't been very active but we will be using that site a lot more once school starts. Here is the link to join us.
I finished 6 last night. Hoping to get 7 and 8 done while Liam naps but the sitter is coming around 2 to pick up the car seat and he has speech at 4 so I'm not sure how much I will get done. Plus I found out today that my MIL will be staying with us a night or two this weekend so I have to tidy up before she gets here which will also cut down on my study time. Luckily the calculations chapters have been short thus far so hopefully I can get through them quickly.
Andrea, I hope you are feeling better.

Hey guys, how are things coming along? I'm almost done w/ percentages and about to do the post test for ch.1-5. Have you started the medication chapters? All this math is giving me headache...
