Here is our new thread ladies (Nikki, Andrea, Kristian, Marissa...and whoever else will be starting at MC this fall).
I'm feeling so freaking overwhelmed right now. And because school technically hasn't started yet, I am not in the right frame of mind. I'm lacking that motivation and discipline I normally have during a semester. Two more chapters from the fundamentals textbook. PLUS 15 chapters from the calculating textbook (yeah, that's right...I said 15!). PLUS the ATI module.
All the while, not really getting a break in the summer to relax my brain because of the anxiety of waiting for the letter and then all the things that needed to be done. How do they do this for nursing students starting in the spring???? I must be sooooo much worse since they don't have the long summer break to get everything done.
Good question. It's prob. on a completed or not completed basis w/ deadlines and we receive pts for it.
I know, I'm not in the mindset for all this. I skimmed through some pgs of the calc. w/ confidence. The first 5 chapters or so is a math review: adding/subtracting fractions and decimal to fraction conversions. So that's not too bad. I didn't look at the other chapter yet.
Yeah, it does make a difference to have at least a mental break from studying during the summer. I feel for those who will be starting the program w/ out some time off from school. But then again, they'll be in the mindset for it all. Take a deep breath and try to relax! :)
I don't remember my user name and password for ATI. I'll order it later this wknd.
For those who want a BP unit:
Allheart.com has some promos going on. $8.88 for BP unit and steth combo. I put it in the shopping cart to see what shipping is and it appears to be free and no tax.
This may be a good time to grab one.

I just tried out the steth w/ the BP unit and I'm very impressed w/ the high quality of sound.
So nothing is up yet on the site...just got ink and printing paper ready to print it all out...and just read that there are how many chapters in the Calculating Textbook?! (it's on hold for me at campus, picking it up Mon. after my daughters' dental checkups)....I am starting homework today :-)

I just purchased it. Thought it was a little confusing. But now I can see the list of modules starting with the infection control. I wonder if we are graded and/or timed on these.
