Updated:   Published

Hello all!

I know it's early to make this thread but I wanted to see who else is planning to apply to this program.

The first open house is in February. Anybody else going?

Below are the books I bought for N1 but I wouldn't recommend buying anything until you hear from the school on what books they'll be using. I did the same as you for N2. I bought the N2 book ($160+) back in May and they told us a month or so ago they're using a different book this coming semester so I had to sell mine and buy the version they're using this semester. My gut tells me you guys will have the same books as those I listed but better safe than sorry. #2-#4 you can save money on by buying used. #1 is the book you need a code for and it only comes with a new book.

1) Fundamentals of Nursing: The Art and Science of Person-Centered Care Ninth, North American Edition

2) Pharmacology and the Nursing Process 8th Edition

3) Taylor's Clinical Nursing Skills: A Nursing Process Approach Fifth, North American Edition

4) RNotes: Nurse's Clinical Pocket Guide 5th Edition

You are AMAZINNNGGG ... thank you so much oh no definitely not going to do anything until I hear something I just wanted to get stuff in that chegg cart and see if I can even find the books. ?

Well it came and it went with a 71 ?I mean they don’t say a specific grade but I studied so much and everything I studied wasn’t even on there. But you so wonderful for checking up on me!

71 is a good score! Can i ask how did you study?

Studying was a rough road I would definitely not use the Kaplan, I used my ati teas book, quizlet and from looking at other posts I would say study from a sat book for reading and writing. The biggest advice I could give is just really read the question don’t rush !! I feel like my skills in reading the question fast are horrible so I lost some time trying to re read and re read the question to get the jist of what it was asking ?

Did they tell you guys when they’ll be sending acceptance emails?

She said keep an eye out for October November since they’re testing till August

Hi Everyone! I too am apply to Montefiore for spring 2020! I know I am a little behind lol, but I am currently getting all of my stuff together to send to the school. I'm just waiting for my recommendation letter. I have to say, after reading a lot of posts on here, I am a little nervous about taking the Kaplan. I have never been the best test taker, and I just hope that we all pass and make it through! I graduated last year with a bachelors degree in health science. I took A&P l and ll at my first college; however, they were both only 3 credits not 4. So, when I transferred, my other college made me take A&P l over, but not ll. I know Monte will probably make me take A&P ll over, so it can be 4 credits. Due to that I will have 2 prereqs missing. The prereqs I do have, add up to a 3.1. Does anyone know what Kaplan grade, G.P.A and prereqs get you in? I'm really stressing out about the test, I don't want 1 test to be the deciding factor on who gets chosen or not, especially for people who are not great test takers.

71 is good and plenty of people from different cohorts got in with 70s. Good job!
