Montefiore School of Nursing Spring 2016 Applicants

Hello Guys! Figured I'd start a new thread on Montefiore SON for Spring 2016 since I haven't been able to find one. Anyone out there in the process of Applying to their nursing program? I called them yesterday and was told they will be sending out Exam invitations soon. Where are you in your process??

i also applied for Spring 2016 and I'm severely nervous because I had a hard time getting hold of documentation and a recommendation letter for the application. I didn't get to get my application in until the VERY last day. Post marked Sept. 1st. Im worried I won't get a test invite at all. How long did it take you guys to get your invites?

If it's postmarked by 9/1, and all your documentation is in, and you meet their requirement you should be fine. I was a walk-in so I don't know how long the wait was for the invite. Hopefully, someone else can chime in.

I called the admissions office the day before and they said it would be fine to mail it out on the first. I'm hoping I get the test invitation. They told me it would be better to mail and not drop it off (which I would have done since I live in Mt.Vernon and only a few blocks away from the school) I'm feeling a little discouraged from even studying for the test until I know I'm allowed to take it. I don't want to get my hopes up and study really hard just to have my dreams flopped. This school is almost my last chance since I withdrew from College of New Rochelle's nursing program.

im taking the test at conchran the end of this month. My test for Monte is at the end of October.

hopefully, i do well on kaplan for cochran, but the good news is i get to take the test over at montefiore so at least i will know what to study and can better prepare for montefiores test.

Hey, that's great I wanted to do the same thing to get an idea on how the test is but i was late on submitting the application. Even though i had no intention on attending their program because I went to their open house ones and i didn't "feel" the school was the right fit for me... But going back you now you have the chance on seeing how the test is and if you score good enough you can submit that score to Monte and you don't have to take it again at Monte... something to think about..

exactly! I actually just pushed the date back from 9/23 to 10/7 for cochran SON because I am already registered to take 2 clep exams next week and want to give myself time to really focus, I was thinking that same thing that i should aim to do well on the test the 1st time so i can just submit the score to Montefiore school as well. My Monte test date is 10/23.

Hey I had a question

you said your test was scheduled for October 7th, is that for Cochran? I want to take my test around that time.

Hi!!!!! I called the school because I was pending paperwork and sent everythign federal express!!! they just told me I got the invitation for the exam. I am so excited, what books shoould I buy to study. I will pray for all of us and hope to be your classmates in January!! stay positive
