Hi I was accepted into Suny Downstate WHNP program. I also got into Stonybrook FNP program but I didn't really want to do FNP. I am excited and nervous at the same time.

I just got my acceptance email this morning. I originally wanted to attend their Womens Health NP Program but they stopped accepting applications so I applied for FNP.

I am in Nursing school now and my instructor for med surg told me every time she saw me that I was going to fail her course. EVERY TIME!!!! I am a LPN in a RN school and I tested out of the 1st semester. The first day I met her she looked at me and said "Yes so I heard you tested out of our first semester. Do not think of bringing that LPN Mentality in here, it wont work!" I was struggling in her class while working full time and going to school at night. Unfortunately, She was my advisor as well, so I had to see her to review my exams. I cried after every meeting with her. I contemplated dropping out of the course as she had advised me to do after I failed her first exam. Thank God for my family and friends who encouraged me. Glad to say that she was wrong and I passed her course last month. She makes me want to pursue becoming a Nursing Instructor when I graduate so I can be the exact opposite type of teacher.

I tried the PVT trick while on the way down in the elevator immediately after taking my NCLEX at the Pearson building in NYC. Got the good pop up that you indicated "Our records...." and paid for my exam results and confirmed that I PASSED!

I was accepted to this school for spring 2016 but for the evening. Being a LPN I had the option to challenge the first semester, which i did and passed. So I start 2nd semester Med Surge this January. Cant wait. Very excited!! Good luck to us all!!!!

Id say take 2 at a time. That is more doable. I took A/P 2 and Micro at the same time in 3 months. Then I CLEPed 2 classes a month later so in 4 months I took 4 classes. Studied hard, Took the entrance exam and got accepted to Cochran nursing school.

Hi, Yes I am going Jan 2016 for the evening program.

UPDATE: Got my rejection letter from Montefiore this monday on 11/16 . Dont know what thats about since I work for Montefiore Hospital, I scored an 80% on KAT, 88% critical thinking and have a 3.85 GPA. But whatever!. I had already accepted my offer to Cochran School of Nursing when i got the acceptance email 2 weeks ago and paid my $300 deposit so it really doesnt matter because I would have rejected their offer. Cochran was my #1 choice because they give LPNs the option to test out of the first semester which means if i pass i will be finished in 18 months vs 24month Im only writing this to give those who didnt get in to Montefiore as well a heads up dont feel bad. There are other schools out there. Dont let this be a discouragement but a encouragement.

I am so happy for everyone. To the beginning of our journey when we were all so nervous about the KAPLAN, to now getting into schools. I know we will all do great in school and become awesome nurses. To those who deferred, you know your seat is there when you are ready! You made the cut! GOOD LUCK AND CONGRATS. My fiance is taking me out to celebrate tonight. I hope you guys do the same. We came, we saw, we conquered
