Montefiore School of Nursing Spring 2016 Applicants

Hello Guys! Figured I'd start a new thread on Montefiore SON for Spring 2016 since I haven't been able to find one. Anyone out there in the process of Applying to their nursing program? I called them yesterday and was told they will be sending out Exam invitations soon. Where are you in your process??

Me too! Some days I'm feeling so positive and of this test and other days I'm feeling so nervous, confuse and overwhelm... But we need to keep faith, we all work so hard to get to this point!

Hey everyone,

i attended the open house yesterday and asked about the grades for the entrance exam. I was told that you want to aim for a 70 or higher to Have the best chance of getting in. So study Hard!!! í ½í¸Š

I've never studied in US. I have BA/MA from university in Russia. Can some one tell me if I need to take all prerequisite courses in one college or I can do it in many? I was thinking about WCC as they are cheaper and more convenient for me but their API and II only 3 credits each when it is 4 required. Does it mean I have to take 3 classes to make 8 or I need to take it in another school? But I can take nutrition in WCC as it is 3 credits class. Any suggestions are appreciated. Thanks

I don't think it matter where you've taken your prerequisites. I have been to 4 different schools, I just sent my transcripts to prove I have taken the classes. I believe at WCC, for A&P you have the lecture which is 3 credits and the Lab which is 1 credit. So all together it will be 4 credits.

thanks for your post and updates. I wanted to go to the open house too but something came up. I am waiting for my test date letter, school said they mailed it monday. Have you considered also applying to Cochran school of nursing in Yonkers? their program also starts in the spring 2016.

Yes, I considered it but I think a night program would work best for me. I will still be working.

Hello, everyone! I wanted to ask, if anyone knows if the evening program starts in January or August. Because on the moodlerooms (is like blackboard but for Montefiore nursing students) it said classes starts in August for the evening students. If anyone knows let me know- thanks

Through my research, WCC (westchester comm college) no longer has an evening nursing program.

Yes, wcc no longer offer its evening program I am currently a pt student there: (they are loosing a lot of students because of this) but I was taking about Montefiore. On their website it mention "program start in late January" but I was confuse when I read on moodlerooms saying the evening 2015 program started this August and I thought the same would apply for the 2016 program.
