Monroe College RN to BSN program

I think if you are just transferring into Hunter, they accept 60 credits or so. Check out their website under transfers.

Editing, because I just went tot he website and can't find the amount they will take but I believe when I filled out my application they said they generally accept 60 (maybe it was more). If you do go to the transfer page you can see which of your courses match up to theirs though, so that may be helpful.

More credits seem to transfer to online programs, but of course most of those cost a lot more, and are online :) The school of professional studies has an online program that looks pretty good, just in case you haven' heard of it.

Just wanted to let you know that CUNY SPS is starting an RN to BSN program that is completely online. There are two clinical requirements. (Community and Capstone). They accept a nice amount of credits. For now, if you are in bmcc, you will probably take many of the gen eds because of pathways. I suggest looking around the site, checking the FAQs, and using their live chat service. I'm starting this program in a week. It has the same price as other senior cuny colleges. And all students pay resident tuition.

How many credits do they take?

do you know what the average gpa is for this program? The minimum is listed as 3.25 but I'm wondering if the average is much higher?

hey, I'm starting the RN-BSN at hunter in the fall and I already have a bachelors so for me it will be a lot quicker but classes that are required according to their site: o English Composition (ENG 120)

o Quantitative Reasoning: Introduction to Statistics (STAT 113)

o Social Science: General Psychology (PSYCH 100) & Human Development (PSYCH 150)

o Natural Science: Essentials of General Chemistry w/ lab( CHEM 100/101) plus 12.5 credits in other Science or Math

I would try to take as many as you can beforehand. I was very thankful that I actually applied to my nursing program a semester late bc I ended up taking human development during that time. They allow you to transfer in 90 credits, 24 of which are nursing. IF you don't already have a bachelors though I might recommend downstate though because they allow you to graduate within a year and a half, whereas from what I hear, most people that went to hunter without a prior bachelors took 2 years or longer, with working probably too. is the curriculum focused on papers or exams? I want to work full-time. I am a hunter alum (B.A) and I am finishing my ADN but I would love to go back to finish my RN to BSN at Hunter.
In addition what is the passing rate?

I'm also curious what students/grads at Hunter think about their RN-to-BSN program. I've been accepted and plan to start in the fall. I'm a bit concerned because many people don't even want to think about going there...

Any tips would be highly appreciated.
