Monroe College in Bronx ny

I recently got accepted to Monroe College for the fall 2020 nursing program, I haven’t seen recent reviews about the school and I want to make sure I’m making the right decision. Has anyone attended the school, or graduated?

Im not looking to put all my eggs into one basket so I’m still applying for other schools as well.

I submitted all the documents and the only thing I have to resubmit is the flu shot because mine is expired this September, so I said that I have to wait until the office have it ready and it should be in September. That’s all.

@didibeloved unfortunately no, I asked and they said we won’t know til the first day of school which is crazy to me LOL

WOW!! Really! So, we can’t prepare anything. Oh well! I hope we can be chilled like this for all the classes too. ?

Honestly, I’m starting to question the integrity of this school now. I understood counselors and administrators not being able to return calls right away because how busy it is due to Covid, but now we don’t know what textbooks we’re getting prior to class starting?! Ridiculous!

I was concerned too! It boggles my mind. I even asked for the professors email (even though it’s most likely their first letter and last name @monroecollege) and they wouldn’t give it to me LOL. They said I’d have to wait the first day of school to get all the information. I’m the type of person to be ahead and I like to read and prepare myself.

Hey Guys! just wanted to let you know if you guys are in need of a laptop. The school is giving free laptops. So check with your advisors to make an appointment to pick it up. There’s no hidden fees and you don’t owe any money. They started a student laptop program because of classes being virtual.

Hi everyone! I’m a little late to this thread but I’m so glad I found it. 
 

I will be joining you guys in Fall 2020 for the progressive program! I am wondering, has everyone already submitted everything? I have also gotten the uniforms, I wish they would’ve let us choose which brand because the Cherokee ones are not very fitting!

Glad to have you here! And I absolutely hated the uniform LOL ? so I spoke to the dean and she said we can buy and brand pants and shoes. I got white joggers that cover my ankles from FIGS. I absolutely loveeee them. And sneakers as long as their all white but since we’re going to be in clinical setting. I would recommend the leather style and non slip and ofcourse make sure laces are white. The only thing you need to order from FlynnO’Hara is the scrub top and the jacket because it has the school logo on it.
