Monroe College Bachelors of nursing program

Hey everyone. I’m currently starting my application process for Monroe college Bachelors of nursing program, Fall 2021. I’m quite nervous. As I’m an average student, I’m on my last year of high school. I don’t have the best grades but I said, hey let me give it a shot. Has anyone ever applied there ? How hard was it getting accepted ??  After submitting your application and doing your interview, how long did it take to get a reply from them if you were accepted or not ? Also, What did they ask in the interview questions ? What is school like there ? What’s the workload like and professors ? I really want to be accepted. Any advice and information anybody has would be great ! Thank you.

Hey has anyone done the interview yet ? Mine is scheduled for next week. If you’ve done the interview, what was it like ? Was the interview with one person or more than one ? What questions did they ask ? How long would you say the interview was? I’m currently practicing some questions ? How would you answer the question, “Tell me about yourself?”

Mine is Tomorrow also but for the afternoon. Could you give some situational questions they could possibly ask ? I’ve been practicing I hope I do well.

Good luck and God be with you, for whoever has their interview today. You got this ! Be calm and don’t be nervous. I have mine in the afternoon, couple hours away. I’ll give an update once finish.  Remember they want to accept you, just show that you’re the best candidate ?.

They didn't show up to mine, I emailed and they rescheduled.

Wow I’m so sorry to hear that. You’ll do great when the time comes. Quick update guys. I was a bit nervous but the interviewer was the sweetest. She honestly just wanted to know more about me. Just go in there and think she’s a friend and you’ll be okay. The questions I was asked are: 

-Why I want to become a nurse/ study nursing ? 
- Tell me a little about yourself. 
- What makes me unique 

- What are my strengths ? 

- What is something you thing you need to work on and why ? 
 

- Talk about a stressful time in your life and how you handled it. 
 

- Talk about a class you did good in and why do you think you aced it ? 
 

- Talk about a class you failed and why you think you failed and how did you fix this problem. 
 

- What do you think a nurse does ? 

Some questions were raised based on what my answers were so for example if you say that you enjoy cooking she may ask what food do you enjoy cooking. That’s a bad example but you get the point. Make sure to ask questions afterwards. Good luck everyone.
