Hey everyone. I’m currently starting my application process for Monroe college Bachelors of nursing program, Fall 2021. I’m quite nervous. As I’m an average student, I’m on my last year of high school. I don’t have the best grades but I said, hey let me give it a shot. Has anyone ever applied there ? How hard was it getting accepted ?? After submitting your application and doing your interview, how long did it take to get a reply from them if you were accepted or not ? Also, What did they ask in the interview questions ? What is school like there ? What’s the workload like and professors ? I really want to be accepted. Any advice and information anybody has would be great ! Thank you.

Hey, I just applied as well. I was assigned an admission advisor and she’s walking me through the steps of what additional documents they need. I also recently completed the TEAS, so I’m just waiting for now.
OMG. Some one finally replied !!Could I inbox you I have a few questions ? I’m doing my TEAS Tuesday.
Sure
I don’t know why but I can’t seem to send messages. Anyways, I just wanted to know how the TEAS was for you ? I’m currently studying the science section and it’s the hardest. What was on the math and English section would you consider that part easy ?? I’m good with reading so I’m not was worried about that section. Also, did you do your interview yet ?? I hope we get it !!

Yea, I’m confused to how this site works as well. New member. The TEAS was mixed for me because English has always been my hardest subject. They asked a lot of what is the main idea of this passage? Or when the writer says “blank” what does he/mean by that term? As far as science I’ve taken A&P 1 and 2 plus I’m currently taking MedMicro so that helped a lot. It asked a lot of lung questions like Alveoli ducts filter what or sends O2 where? What part of the heart sends blood where? Also questions on medical terminology. Like if a doctor says a patient has Osteoporosis what body part are they referring too? The math had a lot of fractions, conversions, X=?, or finding the area of something. Math is my strongest subject so I scored the highest there. The other English language part had you select the correct spelling of words and correct grammar punctuations. This was also pretty straight forward. No I haven’t gotten an interview yet. I messaged my advisor about it but nothing. I’m also having trouble getting my High School transcripts (cuz covid)
crossing my fingers for the both of us.
Thank you so much. I feel much better because I’ve covered most of what you said. I think interviews are after we have submitted everything. I hope you get your transcript ASAP. Keep calling them and explain to your school. So they’ll hurry up I guess LOL. I only have my TEAS outstanding. Btw did you do the TEAS online at home ??? Or you went to an institution? I’ll keep you updated if I get anything on my end. We got this girl !
I did it at home. I felt more at easy doing it at home. Hope you get a high score. I’ll keep you updated if I get an email about an interview or anything
Okay thank you. Same I’ll be doing it home. Any suggestions ? I don’t want to get flagged or anything. I keep seeing people say you can’t take your eyes of the screen too long or you will get flagged, but what if I have to work out a math problem ?? Did you have to show your surrounding areas before you started ? How long did it take for you to complete the test while online ? I’m so nervous ???.

Don’t be nervous it’s not as stressful as you think. I was upset at myself for worrying so much and I didn’t need too. No one was watching me and I was in the comfort of my room. Yes you have to do a room scan and show your ID. Throughout the exam you can see yourself in the upper right hand corner at all times. I believe you can use a sheet of paper to work things out. They also have a built in calculator on the screen so I used that. I’m a nervous test taker so I know my eyes were all over the place and I didn’t get flagged. I used almost all the time allowed every time because I second guess myself a lot which is bad. Don’t do that. Whatever you think the answer is that’s probably the answer.
