Tweety a low key weekend sounds good

TMB I hope those various issues are settling down for you

Dianah glad you slept better

Stars hopefully you were able to get that Seroquel filled quick

NJ22 hope your ds got that corneal abrasion looked at

Was a busy day yesterday.  Worked on shopping list and menu for next week.  Went to church, then did grocery shopping on the way home.  Checked out the pickleball game but no one was there.  Came home and did cooking for the week in addition to some cleaning.  Also decided to try and make strawberry jam again.  Found it wasn't gelling, realized hadn't put in enough sugar.  Added more and it did gel

Rest of the day was quieter, except for a ton of dishes.  Watched Outlander and rode my bicycle as the weather was nice

Not much planned for today.  Will probably work on some CEUs and exercise.  Hoping work will remain fairly quiet

Will be nice again, in the low 70s, although I think rain is expected the next 3 days

So, there was a BIG yikes! last night when I pulled Nannie's britches down to get her on the toilet. She had liquid stool from her waist to her knees, all around the front and in every skin fold of her lap; she said she didn't know she had to go, and never even felt it come out! SO! At least there will be no enema to give this morning, but I haven't been into her bedroom yet to see what 'damages' have been done overnight. I'm having my coffee first, to brace myself...

SiL brought the Seroquel over this morning and put the pharmacy bag on the coffee- table where I'd be sure to see it. She said that pretty soon the pharmacy will be syncing the meds for refills to occur altogether.

Joe~ YUM to the strawberry jam! In the first grade, our teacher made each child a small jar of strawberry jam for the holidays....Thanksgiving, Christmas, Valentine's Day, and Easter. That was a LOT of jam she made, as there were probably at least 20-something kids in her classroom, and it started my lifelong love of strawberry jam.

Guess I ought not to put off the inevitable any longer....

OY, OY, OY!!

I took some photos and a video of the HOLY Jumpin' Jehosaphat's MESS in Nannie's room. There was arc of poop drops, large and small, in a 1/2 moon on the floor around the side and bottom of the bed. Nannie was curled up on the mattress, she had removed her pullups and pads in one spot, her clothes in another area, and there were two areas on the mattress edge smeared with the stuff. She had removed the dirty sheet and blanket, so I got all that stuff into the washer. Got her into the bathroom and straight into the shower to scrub her down. Got her dried and dressed and out to her recliner, and gave her the yogurt and juice for her breakfast. And her meds, which thankfully had the Seroquel with them, and NO stool softeners!!

She is already starting her after-breakfast nap. I just went in and sprayed GREASED LIGHTNING all over the mess on the floor, prior to getting out the mop. OY!

Aaaaand found another huge flop-puddle on the floor at the far side of the bed under the window, and two more sheets laden with stool....

Thank God for Greased Lightning! After all the spots and areas were doused a 2nd time with that spray, washing the floor wasn't a matter of scrubbing, as the spots came up easily enough. However. I had to wash the mop and then do the floors again; after that I walked several towels over the wetness (under my feet, shuffling along to absorb the excess water left on the floor.

Drying one load of wash that was already in the dryer, that I forgot to turn on yesterday. A large load of the dirty stuff was washed once on high/heavy, and then another time just-in-case. That will go into the dryer once the drying load is through, and then I get to start the remainder of the sheets, blankets, pillow cases, clothes, and those poor little purple shoes. It'll probably be three more loads, with several of them sent through the wash a second time. I used SPOT SHOT stain remover on the mattress' that's the same stuff I use on the dog's carpet accidents....only need to saturate the spots and let 'em dry, and the stains are GONE! It is great stuff; ya never have to rub or scrub or anything! I have also turned the ceiling fan on high.

Nannie is napping heavily. I wonder if she'll have any more BM coming out of her while she sleeps?! I sure hope not! One thing for sure, we now KNOW she isn't impacted or constipated any more! w00t! 🙃

So, while the washes are going through their cycles, I am going to relax and do some cross-word puzzles, so I can be nearby to hear when the loads of laundry are ready to be switched again. Hoping it will all be done with by bedtime!

OMG! Stars. My first thought was I hope there was no carpeting in Nannie's bedroom! I've to clean up many a brown lake in my career. Usually followed up by a scolding to not use linens to clean up messes, but don't call housekeeping until the mess has been cleaned up.

I went with sis to her neurology follow-up appointment, which was wash rinse, repeat. He examined her, had her describe her feelings of dizziness, was there any precursors to the episodes, does she feel better or worse or the same. He seemed disappointed that  her inner ear eval is still pending. He is going to check a blood level of one of her meds, and then she is to follow up in 6 months. Sigh.

It rained a bit, and now the sun is shining, temp in the mid 50s. The dogs have been snoozing in our laps as we watch a marathon of Criminal Minds. The fellow is here pressure washing the exterior of the house, and it seems to be taking a looooooong time.

I made a new dish last night that for once, dh said he liked. It was chicken cutlets ( used small pieces of chicken breast) with a mushroom-snow pea cream sauce. I thought it was rather bland, but he and ds liked it. I picked up some sort of beef noodle entree to heat up for tonight and some fresh green beans.

I love strawberry jam. My mom used to make all kinds of jam, and PB & J sandwiches were a staple in our house. She always made freezer jam, which is pretty easy 'cause you don't need to do the boiling and skimming, and sealing jars. I love to eat strawberries, but I hate to pick them, which I did as a kid to earn money.

OMG Stars...well at least she's cleaned out.

I've told many a constipated patient "be careful what you wish for" and opened up the flood gates several times.  I remember one man with prostate cancer years ago as I was waking in the room and his butt was hanging out the bed.  I'd given him laxatives and a grapefruit sized poop, and I mean grapefruit sized as he was in tears, followed by rivers and rivers of poop.  Later on he was peaceful after being extremely agitated and told me "the Lord got that out of me".  LOL

Worked today off my schedule in charge.  Wasn't horrible but got cussed out by a lady having an anxiety attack.

I noticed I've been taken off of charge and working the floor this weekend because someone else wanted to be in because she's in charge on Monday.  I honestly don't mind, but this witch is one that complained she didn't want to do charge which is why I got stuck with it for months on end.  Wonder what changed?

j22~ Unfortunately I AM the Housekeeping Dept. here. 🤨 so there's nobody to call. Both SiL and BiL were working today so they weren't available.

I am finishing the last of SIX loads of laundry; I flipped the mattress, and have the bed partially made. When the dryer buzzes, I can finish making the bed. Nannie's bedtime will be in a little over an hour. So far there have been no further explosions, but I wonder, when I get her into the bathroom, will there be another load in her britches?

When I sent an email to my sibs, my younger brother addressed me as "St. Stars" 😇and thanked me profusely for not including any pictures I took of the poop! 😋
