Molloy College Accelerated Nursing program Fall 2019

Hi everyone, I applied to Molloy's accelerated nursing program for the Fall 2019 semester and noticed there hasn't been a thread started yet. Has anyone applied and heard back for the fall yet?!

I applied to molly's dual degree program in February and just scheduled to take the placement exams in April. So I know I don't reach the required GPA of 3.3 (i have a 3.04 (ugh))...anyways I spoke to multiple people that I know that go to molloy currently and they keep reassuring me that if they're asking me to take these tests that I am still being considered. I also spoke to an admissions counselor and she said the same thing, but is it just going to be a waste of my time to take these tests? Have any of you heard of someone getting accepted with such a low GPA? I'm so stressed, molloy is literally my last hope of getting in anywhere :(

How long after you applied did they contact you about taking the tests?

@blessedbutstressed I applied 2/12 and got the email 2/26 of them saying they’ll send dates soon in the mail. I got the letter in the mail on 3/22 and I registered for the 4/26 exam

@kmk123 thank you! I just applied last week (after I was rejected from Stony Brook) but emailed them today about the tests since on their website the last date listed is the end of april! Best of luck to you!!

Hi everyone! So I had my financial aid interview this week and I’ve decided I will no longer attend in the fall so my seat is open! Hopefully someone who is willing to drop big money on this degree gets it! ?

@kmk123 I'm graduating with my BA in psychology this May. 3.5 GPA at my current school, probably about a 3.6 overall (I transferred after my freshman yr and also took some pre-reqs at community college). B in A&P 1, C in A&P 2 (will probably retake this at Molloy if I go bc I think you need a C+), A in micro and chem, and all A and A- in my other pre-reqs like psych, sociology, stats..

They only post a few dates at a time for the test but once it gets closer to the April dates then they’ll post more dates for May and so on!

I passed the ND with a 16.4! Not sure about the math screening yet but I spoke with an admissions counselor yesterday and he said “you should be receiving a decision in the next few weeks” so hopefully we get something in the mail soon

Has anyone looked in Molloy's course equivalencies for their pre-reqs? Apparently the chem class I took isn't the equivalent of the chem class they require for their nursing majors. Would be such a bummer if I had to take another chem class.
