Molloy College Accelerated Nursing program Fall 2019

Published

Hi everyone, I applied to Molloy's accelerated nursing program for the Fall 2019 semester and noticed there hasn't been a thread started yet. Has anyone applied and heard back for the fall yet?!

Hi everyone! I just got my acceptance letter in the mail!! It was dated the 6th, did anyone else get theirs?

HI! Awesome that you got accepted. Can I ask if you took the DENNY test, and how long after taking the test did you hear about your admission???

Congratulations! When did you apply and if you don't mind, what was your GPA when applying?

The website says that the tests are only required before registration, and that they don’t affect admission. Anyone get admitted before they took the tests?

I got my acceptance letter as well :) Actually not sure if I’ll be attending this year due to financial reasons but I figured I’d still pass on some info to help! I took the tests beforehand but the letter said that if you don’t pass the math test with a 90% you’d have to take the math class before any others, and if you don’t pass that with a 90% you wouldn’t be admitted (but who knows if they strictly enforce or not)

No you have to take the Nelson Denny and math no matter what it’s apart of application process. After you both test you is receive a letter.

Okay thanks! Weird how their website has conflicting info, makes the process much more confusing than needed.

Yeah your acceptance is based on those test scores plus your transcripts. You need at 90 or above for the math to pass and a 14 on the Nelson Denny to pass. If you go to the admissions office they will give you a study packet for the math.

For those who got in - what were your credentials? When you got accepted, did they notify you via email or letter in the mail?

Got a letter in the mail last week to take ND & math placement exam & took them last week 3/12. Called today & passed the ND part, still waiting on the math portion.

So this is my second time getting in, I turned down the first time thinking I was going to apply elsewhere but I didn’t so here I am again! (Luckily)

I already have my bachelors; 3.7gpa and all prerequisites completed. I took the ND and math exam the first time around and that carried over to this application cycle. They were both required prior to me getting an acceptance letter because your application won’t move forward without all those things in place.

I received a letter in the mail but last time I was able to log into the lions den web portal and register as a new student and see my acceptance online ( this time I couldn’t but everyone should try cause it might work for them!)

I got notified of acceptance by a letter in the mail. And my credentials were a 3.5 GPA at my most recent school, probably more towards a 3.3 overall. The only prerequisite I have is statistics. I did get a 100% on the math test though and passed English so that could’ve helped

I got accepted but might wait another year because of money. Did you have to retake the tests when you applied a second time? And financing wise, do you or anyone else know if this type of program offers financial aid since it’s post bachelors?
