World Canada CA Programs

Hey all!

Move just submitted my application for Mohawks January 2019 RPN Program! Anyone else applying?? :)

Hello,

Glad to have found this forum. I am also trying my luck for January 2019 intake for RPN. Not to boast or anything but what are my chances if my final grades are:

BIO 94

CHEM 99

MATH 97

ENG 96

Would these marks be enough if I get just an OK score in HOAE test this month? Btw, I only applied in Mohawk. Thank you in advance!

Wow your marks are pretty high. Have you spoken to Mohawk's admission maybe you don't need to worry about your HOAE that much coz your marks would somehow pull it up? Good luck!

Hey there!!!

Wow great job on those! I'm thinking you'll do great! Have you scheduled your HOAE? I just stopped by Mohawk to make my payment for my test on Wednesday! Feeling a little nervous!!

I feel like we've got this and we will all be seeing each other in January!!!

Good luck!!!!! Let us know how it went esrunyanip!!!!!!

OMG!! I just finished HOAE! I highly suggest to start on the subject where you think you're most comfortable doing and do Vocational Adjustment last. It's so random from Chem, Math (no medication computation) just conversion and a lil bit of stat like average, median etc. Spelling was so so but the word association or vocabulary is pretty tricky. A chunk of my time was spent in Reading comprehension coz the font was just too small lol but don't spend too much time on 1 item. You are allowed to go for a washroom break and also if U have time remaining, you can go back to the items that u think ur not sure of or uv missed. Good luck!

Woot! I bet you're relieved that's over! I'm so nervous for mine now that it's so soon, but these are great tips!!

Any other suggestions? I go at 9:30 on Wednesday, and have been cramming with the HOAE review book I bought lol Some of the stuff in the practice tests makes me so nervous, because there's a lot I wasn't remembering first time around! So glad I've been studying as best I can for it!! LOL Congrats on finishing and getting that next part out of the way!!

Yes I'm very much relieved that it's over..now it's just the waiting game if we got accepted to the program. In Natural science, I've seen few questions about determine the physical, chemical changes of a solution etc..also acids and bases, heavy on BIO like mitosis, Punnett squares, genes. Previous posts was right, u can never really expect to know and answer everything. Time management is they key. I have talked to others who took the test same time as mine, they were not able to answer all. Good luck!! Let me knw how it went!

Thanks for this, I am so nervous. I went into Humber's test this past Saturday only to find I studied all the wrong BIO stuff. There was no question on Punnett Squares, Genes or Mitosis. It really sounds like their test is very different. I found it too, was all over the place. I am a PSW and a ton of the BIO questions I was left scratching my head; I had no idea.

I wonder are all the tests the same or do they have a pool of questions they pull from at random?

What would you say the math has mostly?

Good Luck everyone

this makes me feel better - thanks

Thanks for the info! Hopefully I can cram my brain with enough info to get me by on Wednesday!! í ½í¹‚

Then we wait!! LoL

Hi,

I'm a PSW too :) I think you're right, the questions are very random and I find myself drawing a blank at one point because I'm so worried that I won't be able to finish everything. I'm hoping that my grades will be a nice buffer :) I wonder how long does it take before we get the result?

AspiringRPN2020,

Just breathe in and out and don't stay too long on one question. Try to list down the numbers that you skipped or not sure of so that if you have time you can still go back to them easily instead of you scrolling up and down looking for it. Good luck!
