Mohawk College Practical Nursing January 2018

I am just wondering if anyone has received admission into Mohawk College's RPN nursing program, for the January 2018 start? If so, when did you hear back from the school, and what were your grades and HOAE test scores?

Sorry for the late reply, I have been so busy with school. I did complete my assessment for success, it went really well. Have you done it?

Yeah I agree, a Facebook group would be great! I'm not very familiar with Facebook so I don't know how to create one.

Hello i just wanted to know what material or book did you guys use to study from and what was the format of the test. I am about to take the HOAE test

It's an aptitude test, so you really can't study. There's a section on spelling and basic knowledge of biological, chemical, and physical sciences as well as who discovered certain things in the science community. There is some basic math. I think most if not all units were given in imperial but knowing how to convert the measurements were not necessary in order to solve the problem. A large section is looking at the orientation of a figure and then deciding what it should be, given "A is to B as C is to ...". One part was reading comprehension. And there were a bunch of yes or no questions about how you personally feel about different statements pertaining the workplace and your perception of the attitude of others towards work and life in general. If you've gotten this far in your application to nursing, you should do fine on the test. :) Good luck!!

Is everyone getting a flu shot? It says recommended, so I'm not sure if I should or not.

I have one. I need one to work during flu season. At our work (LTC) if u decide to NOT. Take the flu shot u CANNOT work during outbreak unless u take the tamaflu medication. Id inquire about it to be safe. Last thing u want is a delay due to an outbreak

I am starting January 17th! But I was wondering if there was any forms that need to be completed? And where I would get access to these forms. Also my elearn doesn't have any classes up yet either.
