Mohawk College Practical Nursing January 2018

Published

Hello,

I am just wondering if anyone has received admission into Mohawk College's RPN nursing program, for the January 2018 start? If so, when did you hear back from the school, and what were your grades and HOAE test scores?

Thank you,

Amy

I haven't heard anything, but I am really hoping our start doesn't get pushed back. I don't know who we could talk to about that, as I don't think anyone has an answer for that yet. The strike is so unfortunate, I imagine the legislation being discussed right now should get things going in a favourable direction (hopefully) ahha.

@hamontgirl1

Hopefully you can get in! I had a friend on the waiting list for the September start, and she was #8 on the list.... and still didn't get in! Do you happen to know your place on the list?

I was under the impression that everything has to be done before Jan.2018 so I just took my CPR HPC course, received my police clearance, had my TB test, Flu shot, immunization boosters and blood work and submitted some forms already. I know things have to be current as of 3 months of your start date, so I think I should be good, then certain things such as flu shot, police clearance, and HPC course are only valid for a year.

If anything, I'll talk to the preplacement office just to make sure all is good, and if not I'll make sure to get things done again.

Hopefully we can find out more information about how the strike will affect us. Fingers crossed ahah

I saw on the mohawk fb page that winter session should start jan 17. If ur on fb u can check it out

Dont give up hope. I was told i was 50 on the wait list and was given an offer this past week

If you go on your mymohawk account and go to registration it says that all of our pre-placement requirements (cpr, TB test etc) are due April 6th 2018 for the winter intake students :)

and they informed students that winter start programs are delayed by about a week so we are starting mid January now !

When I contacted admissions they said they are unable to tell me where exactly I stand on the waitlist! They also said I could wait as long as January to find out if I am accepted.

That's great news!! Congratulations

Canadianmamma how did you find out where you stood on the waitlist?

I called the addmision advisor for rpn. She told me i was 50. Then not even a week later she called and said they had a spot.
