Modesto Junior College ADN applicants '16/'17 MJC Nursing

Published

Hi Everyone. I will be applying to MJC nursing program this May 2016/17. I will be taking my Teas early April for the first time, but so far without my Teas I have 68 points on my application. Anyone who is applying to mjc, I'd love to get an idea where everyone else is at and what my chances might be. Also if you could share what you scored on your teas and what do u think the cut off would be this year... So excited to hear back from u all :) :)

Does anyone know if we have to be a student at columbia in order to apply to their program? Or they are connected with mjc?

No, you don't need to be a Columbia College student since it's MJC's program. You only need to have been accepted as an MJC student before applying to either location (MJC or CC). Hope this helps.

hi guys! For those of you who took the teas at mjc, need some advice! does the actual test is it identical to the practice assessment available from ati?

thank you!

For me, I scored lower on the practice tests than I did the actual tests. When I asked around at the time, that seemed to be the general consensus for a lot of people. From what I remember, the actual tests had very similar formatted questions as the practice tests. As a result, the ATI study manual really helped prepare me well for the test... I'd highly recommend it! Good luck to you, David!

hi Taylor! did you took your teas test at mjc? I'm just wondering, what is the teas test look like in the actual exam? Is it identical to practice assessement test from ati?

Thank you!

I took the teas at Sacramento state but it's the same everywhere. It's very similar to the practice tests. I would study from those, the ATI practice book and this study guide on all nurses is really helpful. https://allnurses.com/teas-exam-help/how-i-passed-804222.html

If you submitted your 2016/2017 application for the MJC ADN program before May 19, 2016, you may have to re-submit it. Check the MJC ADN website for more information.

Thanks Mjcadn. Even though mine still showed as "submitted" post-network problem, I went ahead and clicked "modify application" and went through the clicks and resubmitted just in case. Always better to be safe than sorry

Anyone know when we will hear about documentation? I hope it's next week!

I hope it is next week we hear about documentation. I'm getting really excited, which means the time is going to draaaaggg :)
