Modesto Junior College ADN applicants '16/'17 MJC Nursing

Published

Hi Everyone. I will be applying to MJC nursing program this May 2016/17. I will be taking my Teas early April for the first time, but so far without my Teas I have 68 points on my application. Anyone who is applying to mjc, I'd love to get an idea where everyone else is at and what my chances might be. Also if you could share what you scored on your teas and what do u think the cut off would be this year... So excited to hear back from u all :) :)

Hi everyone....I will also be applying to MJC nursing for my first time and I can't wait!!! I also applied to American River, Sac City, and Delta this year, but MJC is my #1 choice!!! Good luck to everyone applying!!!!

Is anyone planning on commuting? I live in the Sacramento area and I'm trying to decide if this commute is just too much. If I didn't have a 3 year old, there would be no question.

If I get into the sac colleges I'll be commuting from Turlock...I say if you get in its totally worth it!!!! :)

I think so too. I know I would totally regret it if I didn't try!

Does anyone know the lowest score that got in at the Columbia satellite campus? Or how the drive to that campus is like?

Rumor has it, high 50's to very low 60's which was lower than MJC's cutoff by a decent margin.

I applied to Columbia with 56 points last year and didn't get in. The cut off was 61 points. Where are you going to be commuting from? It's about 1.25 hour drive from Modesto.

Hi everyone! I just discovered this forum and I'm excited that someone created it so we can "walk" with each other through the application and admissions process. Who all is applying to the program at the Columbia satellite location?

I would take a drive up there, I attempted that drive to see if my car could make it through 2 years- currently driving a '03 lancer and there's no way it'd make the traverse up the hills to columbia site, so I chose MJC submitted yesterday with 73 points. *fingers crossed there won't be a huge number of applicants above 73*

I have 73 as well. (Unless I do better on the teas test that I'm retaking, Tuesday.) I've seen so many high scores. Getting nervous

Thanky for responding to my questions. I'm actually from fresno so I can't really come up there now and test out the drive to columbia, but if it's not that bad then I'm sure my car will make it. I have an accord 2015 or I can always use my husband's 4runner. But all that said my score isn't as high as most so I might reapply next year after I work on a higher score.. or who knows maybe fresno city will get their new multicriteria together by then so I won't have to apply in modesto.
