Modesto Junior College ADN applicants '16/'17 MJC Nursing

Published

Hi Everyone. I will be applying to MJC nursing program this May 2016/17. I will be taking my Teas early April for the first time, but so far without my Teas I have 68 points on my application. Anyone who is applying to mjc, I'd love to get an idea where everyone else is at and what my chances might be. Also if you could share what you scored on your teas and what do u think the cut off would be this year... So excited to hear back from u all :) :)

Yeah why not :) Facebook page would be awesome. is it true that teas is changing in August? Teas 6 is coming out! Does that mean we have to retest if we want to apply for delta?!!! Cuz delta application is in september i believe

I didn't know the TEAS was changing, you'll probably have to contact delta to find out if they will be requiring the new test or not. Maybe I'll start a Facebook page here in the next week, unless someone else wants to start one. Can't believe the application opens in a little over a month!!

Applying to MJC as well, pretty nervous. I should have 65 points without the TEAS as long as I pass this CNA class this semester. Hoping to score in the low to mid 80's on the TEAS so I can be in the mid 70 point range. That should be enough to get in but you never know.

I also think having points in mid 70s should be good enough. Let us know how u did on ure teas. Im taking mine in 3 weeks.

I'm taking mine this thursday.

Good luck to Brandon28 and Bpolis91!!!! If you take your time and read each question carefully, you'll do just fine!!!

I created a Facebook page so we can all communicate and get to know each other!!

Woww that is awesome score. Great job... Did u just study from the ATI book or used anything else as study material?

I only studied the ATI book and did the two online practice exams that came with the ATI Study package. I went through the ATI book fairly thoroughly, granted I only really reviewed 3-4 days before this test 3-4 hours a day.

Oddly enough on the online practice TEAS tests I was scoring low 70's on the science, the actual TEAS felt a bit easier in the Science section. Definitely think I could've scored in the 90's if I would've started preparation earlier, regardless I'm happy with my score.

thanks for the info! U really did score good for studying 3-4 days prior :D
