MJC 2019 application period

Hey all,

While looking at information for the Modesto Junior College RN program I came across an awesome thread on here for the 2018 application period. It was great to read through and see how much they motivated each other. It gives us an opportunity to stress together and bond while waiting to see if we get in. I am hoping to make a successful thread for those of us ready to apply in May.

Also, I should have lead that with the fact that I was 3 points off the original cut point, so you are very likely to get that email for spring. Fall will fill up with the people who had 76 I can almost guarantee it.

Something else to think about is that every BSN program has different prerequisites. My best friend went back to get her BSN, she already had her RN, and she ended up having to take 3 semesters of Spanish, as well as all of the Nursing courses.

Going for your BSN right off the bat would ensure that you wouldn’t have any other obstacles like she did.

Does anyone know if they have ever pulled people from spring up to fall when they have applicants that decline their spots?

If you were already accepted for Spring, I do not think they will let you be accepted for Fall.

Anyone who declines their spot goes to the waitlist, not to those who have already been offered a spot.

I just called the allied health center and spoke to Donna about the same exact thing. She said that the computer randomly picks the people for fall and spring semester and that there is no way to switch semesters.

Im a little late here but I was accepted for Fall with 76 points:) Don't loose hope guys, anything can still happen and congratulations to the rest of us who got in. Does anyone know if we get a conformation once we email our declaration of intent?

Hi RNMHA,

I emailed mine yesterday and got a confirmation today. Although I did also ask a question in the email. I think they should either way.

Also, when is the deadline to accept or reject acceptance for the Spring semester?

Yes, they will send you the confirmation even if you don't ask a question.

Does anyone think 76 points will get pulled of the waitlist? And how many people with 76 didnt get in? I feel so sad because some people with 76 got in ?

Ann1993,

i think those with 76 points should be comfortable that they’ll get pulled, even those with 75 points. It’s just hard to know for sure because life happens. Tomorrow is the cut off for accepting fall. Fingers crossed for you. Let us know!!!
